Trying to find this forum is tough and some REALLY exciting work is going on here as well.

Plastic and Paper reads like the recycling bin.

Put forth some suggestions to Shannon as to how it can be improved and maybe she will create some new categories.

I like looking at the painted metal figures but my specialty is plastic and the painting and conversions of plastic.

Yea i like looking at the Metals too even buy the odd set....But i enjoy looking at others do with there plastics.

Plastic collectors are looked on as slightly embarrising and sad by metal collctors in the main.
Plastic figures are seen as 'kids stuff' by the New Metal brigade and there is a lot of prediduce to be found.

Well yeah! I felt the same way when I bought metal castings and painted them myself. I started collecting repro Marx about 20 years ago and now the TSSD and Conte plastics have the detail and most of the authenticity of metal kits.

Many plastics collectors paint and convert. It's done with metal of course but probably not with the collectible ranges that would loose value if "tampered" with.

Erm, can't say I've found any prejudice, nor do i think it's embarrising and nor is it kids stuff (or no more than any aspect of this hobby of ours).
It may be that there are more metal collectors who frequent this forum than plastic, and therefore metal is discussed more.
