I don't know much about baseball but I assure you we all have fans that we would rather not have.
Here is a typical South African rugby fan
I hope not.
Regards and merry Christmas

That guy is awesome. I love dudes that get thrown out of sporting events, so long as they aren't hurting anyone- perhaps he did.

Reminds me a bit of myself (gut excluded), getting jostled out of several rock concerts for band heckling and other annoyances.

Your picture reminded me abit of one of my favorite Britcoms- Men behaving badly. Dorothy (Carolyn Quentin) and Gary (Martin Clunes) were sitting watching a soccer match.

"Gary, why is it that all the Spanish football players look like supermodels and the British football players look like convicts?" :D:D

Chris you getting thrown out of rock concerts. Say it ain't so!

Had to laugh at the supermodel convict thing. It is funny because it is true:eek:

Yeah, that is a great line..

Not out of arenas (it's been a few years since I did an arena show) but there is a 30-40% chance at clubs I will be escourted out- 7/10, it is some idiot friend of mine or one of their really idiotic friends that says something and of course, some how I get tangled up in it all. Guilt by association I guess.....:(:(

Well
Chris I bet you never did this though at a concert.

The one guy looks like the guy from the initial post. Am I correct? Now, is that a player who is sanwiched between the two fans or is it just some guy who was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Not sure if you guys heard but a couple years ago we had an NBA player charge the stands!! I mean this guy ran up several flights of stairs to get at this one fan who was heckling him!!

Yeah, gotta admit, I haven't done that. I would love to charge some football or basketball field though, some of these guys are so arrogant. I wouldn't survive over in SA, Australia or the UK- your mosh pits and sporting events are just LETHAL compared to the states- even some venues in South America are very dangerous.

"Moshing" though, yeah, it's a gas. I 100% believe that if it is done correctly, it could be very therapeutic as a stress reliever. You don't have to go crazy in the pit, you can stand on the perimeter and just sock some guy that bounces into you. I have probably added 5-10 years of stressfree living just pummeling some of these kids in these pits (just kidding).:D:D

The stories you see with people getting broken up, it's a mess and those guys aren't doing it right and it is really more indicative of security people or bouncers not doing their jobs.

Plus, heck, if you are a fan of medieval warfare, I gotta believe the semi-violent, high contact, physically exhausting, close quarters melee of the mosh pit would be the closest thing you could get to simulating the real thing.

The guy in the middle is the Irish ref. The big man in black is an All Black and our friend tackling the ref is a disgruntled SA fan. I personally much prefer the young lass who during the national anthem at a test match in Cape Town wiped her top off to reveal the SA flag painted across her rather buxom chest. I am sure her father must have choked on his beer when he saw that.

If I can recall that Irish ref had made quite a few bad calls. I've never seen a ref attack fans though. However, I saw on the TV much much of the Toulouse game earlier in the year, when Trevor Brennan managed to receive a lifetime ban for attacking an Ulster fan. In an act of self-censorship the TV stations' cameras didn't show the incident (they claimed that it would prejudice the outcome of any criminal assault investigation) but the print media published endless photos; a rare case of TV being more responsible than the newspapers.

Wildest crowds I have ever been in is the Golden Gloves in Chicago in the late 70's when still held at the Amphitheatre, more fights in the stands then in the ring, that's when the Golden Gloves were really popular and every neighborhood had fighters in the finals, now boxing has died pretty much in Chicago, Rocky 7 just doesn't inspire the kids to be boxers anymore, like Rocky 1.

The wildest crowd ever though was the fight I attended at a high school, they had a former student who was somewhat of a draw and he got stopped on cuts and the place went up for grabs, it was in a small suburb and the cops couldn't handle the drunken crowd. Gifhts everywhere and even the cops got beat up, really crazy, two fights started in front on me from guys just standing on their chairs to see the other brawls. Total insanity at it's best.

You guys would not think this is so funny if you had to work security at these various events!
Not everyone in attendance appreciates this juvenile behaviour.
Having said my piece, the two worst events to work were "Tavern Night at Busch Stadium" and a Blues, Blackhawks playoff game at the Arena.
Gary

Didn't say anything about being funny, downright dangerous is what it is.

Here is another unruly fan. I am very glad that Springbok fan who assaulted the ref did not decide to do this.:):)
