I saw some one mention this somewhere. With the likes of Game of Thrones and LOTR going so well, I've been amazed that no one has brought out a line of orc/werebeast style figures at any point. I've a vague memory of a Russian set but they weren't really in the TS tradition. Years ago when I dipped my toe into making my own soldiers, I had werebeasts on my to-do list. This was inspired by the writings of David Gemmell ('Joinings') and Robert Jordan ('Trollocs') but such things are common in heroic fantasy writing. If all had gone to plan, I'd have been in perfect position to capitalise on the massive exposure LOTR and GOT obtained. Oh well.....

Has anyone else had thoughts along these lines? I'd love to have had some of the great medieval figurs by Barzo, Timpo and the others doing battle against an inhuman horde!

I've also wondered the same thing. A Chinese maker has just produced one of those plastic bucket sets of Fantasy figures. They are mediocre quality and the lone Orc figure looks like a wolf man. I was hoping with the Hobbit movie we would see 1/32 ish figures based on the movie but there is nothing that I know of out there. I am also surprised that someone hasn't put out a nice Medieval set because it can be marketed to both Historical and Fantasy collectors. If these Fantasy based movie/TV series came out in the 60's you know Louis Marx would have jumped all over it!

Thanks for posting those! I recall seeing a few featured in the Toy Soldier magazine. Some of them could work nicely I think.
