Fantasy genre (5 Viewers)

Trying to break out of my staid image....hahaha. Going to liven things up around here.

Ive always admired Frank Frazetta's paintings. So Ive decided to try to do a piece based on his berserker ptg. Also will explore another artist Patrick Jones solely for his Hecate ptg.

A good opportunity to use up my 1/24 spares.

Starting to pose the figs.

I sculpted that horse head myself many years ago. I hope that this project will put it to good use.

WIP on the berserker. Shortened the neck and arms. Changed the horse rear leg and will lengthen the snout.

Reposed the lady's legs and added arms.

Thx for yr inputs. I guess I will have to update Conan lore - "By Chrome".......hahahaha.


I added a cloak to the lady and reshaped her thighs (it is what you think I meant...hahaha).

I reshaped the horse proportions and also put Conan on steroids.

I reshaped the cloak further. Focused on the lady's navel. As the good admiral would say, anyone offended should turn a blind eye......hahahahaha.

Added more bulges to Conan and a helmet. Found a couple of suitable accesories. The horse has a face mask.

I read several of the Sprague de Camp, Conan books as a teenager, though I expect it's the Arnie Conan film version most remembered and it's interesting to see you tackle this genre Victor.

Hi Steve,

I got into Conan thru the comics. Marvel Conan the Barbarian and Savage Sword of Conan. These had exemplary artwork by John Buscema etc and mostly written and edited by Roy Thomas. There were other barbarians but they pale besides Conan. And those women drawings….. but I digress. Hahhahaahahahahahahaa
