That could have been said by a fair number of Napoleon's Marshalls and Generals; the ones that fought him.;):D

True , But what do you think of the result would have been at Waterloo without the Prussians arrival ? just Nappi vs Wellington .. I think he was Humbugged ;)

On that so much has been speculated and debated without resolution that let us just say there are few certainties of outcome in battles, especially at that time and it is far from clear what might have happened without the Prussians.;):D As to whether Wellington was the equal to Napoleon in tactics, I think indeed he was.

Everyone is entitled to there opinion my friend , lets just say not everyone is in agrement on this one ,otherwise we would all be collecting figures from the Wellingtonic Era . ;)

Well Nappy did have a good head for tactics, especially in his earlier years where he was almost unbeatable. Unfortunately for his soldiers, he used his men rather freely. Then there was the strategic error of all time, understandable as it may have been.;) The Duke was rather more careful with his men and he never lost against the French. They both made their share of mistakes and both had the wit to recover from them and both have their legions of admirers. Whatever you call the era (Wellington had no desire to be an Emperor:D); the results don't lie.;):D But it is certainly no problem for me whichever you favor; that is what choices are for.:D

Although from an earlier period, I would like to see a personality figure for the French cavalry General LaSalle. General LaSalle was killed in 1809, at the Battle of Wagram, leading a charge. He would make a wonderful candidate wearing his ornate hussar uniform and holding his signature long pipe.

He was certainly colorful. Apart from a certain 95th officer, I would most like to see "Black Bob" Craufurd. This isn't a very good picture and doesn't even have his cocked hat but he was colorful in many different ways and a real fighting commander.

Hi King's Man,
you sure got my vote for a General LaSalle.
So far I hesitated to ask for it, since he would not go with the currently covered themes of "Borodino" and "Waterloo" but then again the main subject on the First Legion website is "Napoleon's Europe" and then "mounted personalities". Also, Matt said that they would want to focus on particular ornate or colorful figures and General LaSalle would very much fit in there.
I really do hope to see him released and one time in the future.

Hi Konrad ,
I think you may be on to something here when saying "Mounted personalties " it does not say " MP " of Borodino or Waterloo . This gives me the hope of a Possible Scharnhorst mounted figure having died in June 1813 from a wound received at Lützen in may and having went into a short retirement as protest to sending Prussians into Russia with Nappi . Hey it did start out as a Prussian thread after all ;) . and La Salle also would get my vote and my money :)

That is correct. Further, if you think about it, once we get the rest of our Russians released, when combined with the Prussians you'd have a good start on a decent Lutzen setup or even parts of Dresden and other 1813 battles. Further, Borodino and Waterloo or just two of many battles and we'll be doing a lot more than just two. The mounted personalities range could become something of a leading indicator of where we might go next...you just never know. ;)

Then I really would like to see Craufurd or Le Marchant or as they might have said, not some foppish peacock.:D:D:D:D

Thank you so much , as one of my favorite chapters of the Napoleanic wars is the Befriungskrieg ( German war of independence 1813-15 ) this is very Great news . I have often wondered why the Prussians released so far were not covered in mud . As I'm sure you know Bülow's corps walked the farthest about 15 kilometers coated in mud , some loosing boots in the mud some dropping from exhaustion never to get up again all to help Wellingtons mostly German ( yes its true ) force at Waterloo .As I was planning on using them not just for my Waterloo display .;) Keep up the Great work and for Gods sake give spitfrnd some more Brits :)

Thanks much for that mate; I need all the help I can get.;):D I also hope you get your Prussians and would even like some Germans (KGL line, riflemen and hussars) for myself.;)

My pleasure mate , I agree 100 % the KGL would be fantastic . There is just so much to look forward to and I'm sure all will be done to perfection in good time. Its very hard not to think ahead just because we know they will look Great when they do arrive. I know this sounds crazy but I find myself thinking about what will be next and what they will look like all the freak-en time. My girl ask me whats on my mind and I tell her just another bad day at the office. I got it bad

You're not alone ;):D
I got it too. Seeing stuff that I don't have yet, that is not even done yet.

Thanks for the company , I feel a little better knowing I'm not the only one. Great collection of FtG era Prussians by the way. Thats another problem I have I Even think about lines that they don't produce yet. Imagine a FtG mounted figure.

I feel the same way! Perhaps that is why I check this forum and First Legion's site every morning to see if something new has been posted.

You all are not only not alone but in happy company I think. I also think constantly about the new figures and poses that may (I hope) be coming along. I know that whatever they do they will do well. I really don't need a new range temptation from them just now, I have more than enough with the Napoleonic range at the moment.:D

Couldn't agree more. The Napoleonic range is what got me into First Legion and I am having a blast with it. I would say it is getting tougher to decide what to get each month, as there is already a lot to choose from.
