Dear All welcome to Februarys releases, enjoy!

The Spartans

We are now coming to the end of our Spartans/Greeks for a while as we switch production to the Persian forces.
The Persian Immortal designs have now been submitted, but for those of you looking for a time frame it will be around 3 months before we see any new enemy for the Spartans to battle with. We only have one Spartan this month and he is as follows:

delighted to hear Persian are forthcoming...the Spartans/Hoplites have them grossly outnumbered...

Napoleon looks great and is my personal favourite. Though that chariot is also very tempting.

Brendan

That's all our Romans for this month, some Engineers to follow next month and a few other surprises. Our second batch of 30 x Ancient Briton chariots are now in stock and have all sold, third and final batch of 40 will be here in March with most of these also sold on pre-order. Please note we will not be making any more chariots after this run as we are making room in the production schedule for a new Carthaginian elephant as well as some new Barbarians. The chariot can be paid for over 3 instalments if bought directly through us, just drop an email for details on how to do this.
For those of you hoping for some Britons you will be pleased to hear we have some foot and cavalry Britons to take on the Romans, all coming in the near future.
ROM086 Roman Pilum thrower released last month has now sold out in the A red shield variant with only a few of the B and C variants also left, if you are interested in this figure do not hesitate as we will not be making any more.

I'm pleased to see that TG will be doing some Roman Engineers.^&cool Hopefully this means, guys with Groma, guys with picks, shovels, etc. If what I'm deducing is right I'll be wanting several of those with picks, shovels etc, of each. It be like Christmas again ! ^&grin

Got a direct order in for a Chariot now, as unfortunately my usual dealer Magpie doesn't seem to have them, that or has sold out their allotment on the day they got them !

Yep TG certainly are turning out a lot of wanted and attractive figures at present, long may it continue.

Steve

Excellent figures as usual. From February's bunch I will get 2 Byzantines and the RAF Bantam. Just to specify that the shields of ROM BYZ 003C and ROM BYZ 003D are inspired by the Greek-Orthodox religious pictures and they do not depict Apostles but Christ and St Nicholas respectively. Really amazing work!

I thought those shields were amazing, especially because of the Greek Orthodox depictions.

I've just ordered the Napoleon from TG. I'm not really into that area but I really like the paintwork. Looking forward to receive it.

Did someone say "new Carthaginian elephant"...!!! When would be the release date for that??? {sm4}

Carthaginian elephant sculpted with 2 x crew ready for production, we just waiting on the painted sample back from Russia. We actually think this version is nicer than the Roman variant!
A Carthaginian infanteer plus a Roman Velite should also be released around the same time.
You could expect these to start making an appearance around April/May once we finish the Ancient Briton chariot.

Dear T. Gunn

I would like very much to see more WW I figures, but from the eastern or italian front. Austro-Hungarian army was extremely colourful and mobilised more than 7.000.000 men. It would be great to have dragoons, ulhans, jagern etc against Serbs, Russians or Italians. I can only dream of a T. Gunn quality assassination of Franz Ferdinand.

I second Thanasis' suggestion. We get a plethora of Western front figures from all the manufacturers (and I appreciate TG's so doing) but what of the Eastern front, equally important. Even an occasional test figure would be great.

The Assassination of the Archduke would be terrific. I would put my money down...now! I once asked Andy about it but he said too expensive. I was fortunate to purchase the Metal Shed version but I think TG could do a better job.

Thanks for all the ideas guys, they have all been noted and we will do our best as always!

Just to keep you all abreast of events here, SPA020B with the red cloth banner has now sold out, the Roman Byzantines 003A and B also now gone and GB007 the 6 Pounder down to single figure availability,
thank you for all your support we appreciate it.
Something of a surprise has been Napoleon, who has also been flying out of the door which has been nice to see as this one was a bit of a punt for us.

Best wishes
The Gunn Team

Agreed.....Russians soldiers are rarely covered for WWI and Austrians even less so.
I have glossy figures from Trophy, Tommy Atkins and MiniMen but no matt style.

Hi Thomas Gunn Team you have on hands the greatest idea to cover Austrians then.....
A piece of WW1 Heavy artillery.....:salute:::salute::like this one....
And I guess the gun you already have...just need to match the garrison.....So the complex part of getting the gun is done.....
Collectors can then have a real piece of history from the opening days of WW1 when these brutes were taken to Belgium to subdue the Fortress Antwerp.
And if you play the cards well, and come up with an alternate WW2 German Army garrison, collectors will have the chance of using the same gun, but now under WW2 German command blasting the fortress of Sevatopol....
Great sales pitch....buy one get two historical opportunities.....How many other so an easy kill can you get...
Cheers
Luiz

Yes, they are very colorful, like this Austrian Gun in the Budapest Military Museum
Austrian100mm.jpg

AND the vehicle that the Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in, now in the Austrian Military Museum in Vienna
Archduke car.jpg

AND colourful uniforms also in Vienna.
