I just went on the K & C website and saw this. I noticed, as many of you have or will, two lorries, one appearing to be I believe, the often discussed Bedford Lorry. The other one I have no idea. I don't think this means they're going to produce these for commercial production but one can always hope.

I am heading out to light some candles for the Lorry! My aviation airfield diorama is in desperate need of additions & I could make this fit in. It has been a rough couple of yers with only some Frontline additions to my version of DUXFORD here in the Arizona desert. I will light an extra row of candles for some more K&C aviation related items. Love those polystone aircraft by the way as they do not crack after time! Hang Tough!

Those are resin prototypes of the Bedford Lorry in late war northern european "Mickey Mouse" camouflage. The only one ever sold in this Camo scheme is owned by Larry Lo.

Hey Beaufighter, have you ever seen the old wood K&C version of your name? I have one, and its one of my favorites. Take a look on Bill Sager's website to see a photo of mine.

Cheers-I have seen it & I love it & I wish she was in my collection. I used to have the wood Mosquito that K&C put out but sold it/traded it a couple years back to the Old Toy Soldier Home in San Diego. I got caught up in that "historically correct/incorrect" phase so she went missing. Now I long for her! Per my name-the Beaufighter is one of my favorite aircraft along with the deHavilland Mosquito & finally the Corsair. I saw a lot of your other aircraft from one of the threads with the house seminar/visit-something like that. I was impressed & enjoyed it from my desert view.

I co-host the New York Symposium each March (2nd weekend) along with Hans Hedrich and Larry Lo. Between Larry, Hans, Brad and myself attendees can see more than 50 different versions of the old K&C wood warbirds. People come from as far away as Great Britain and France to attend each year. I would love it if you would join us at the next one.

By the way, I also love the K&C Mosquito and wood Corsair, two of the planes I most want to add to my collection.

I am also setting up an RAF airfield diorama. I have a one of kind custom made K&C RAF Control Tower, the RAF quonset hut, a fuel bowser, two different RAF ambulances (blue and green), 5 RAF dispatch riders and MP's, a couple of ground crew sets, 3 sets of RAF pilots, a couple of each of the U.S. Marine and Flying Tiger pilots, Churchill and Captain Clark Gable to display on the airfield with about a dozen different RAF aircraft.

Oh yeah and then some guy named Andy decided he was going to have a few things to say. That guy goes on. Was muttering something about tracks, whatever that is.

You know, the thing I just don't understand is how this "tracks" thing got so full of acrimony. Thanks for posting some great memories from the last Symposium. I can't wait for next year (or for Chicago for that matter).

2- That K&C starts producing warbirds again (and soon).

Hopefully, that's all behind us now.

It's good to trot some of those photos out now and then for what is a superb collection.

Folks, you have to see this collection to appreciate it. As Shannon said when she walked into Louis' house (museum), "this isn't a collection, this is a museum."

If I hadn't been exposed to that collection two years ago, I doubt I'd be the collector I am now and as a result of seeing that collection in person, I've become interested in ranges that I might not otherwise have become interested in (I think that's grammatical ), such as Royal Navy, Rough Riders and the marching bands. Man, you've got to see those bands. Unbelievable. I had the treat to put them out. It was just one after another, incredible. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos of the bands or they didn't come out but how about some Zulus. They're pretty cool.

Thanks for the website information as I just conducted a fly-by. I assume your Beau was a custom order per the gear down configuration. Any trouble with the wood drying out and cracking esp. at the weight/stress points? I would have to order one similar to yours & a Mossie of course. Love all the other aviation pictures especially the control tower. I was lucky to get a Q. Hut & the very first Limited RAF set which was my very first K&C purchase. I am happy to know that some of you enjoy/love the aviation related items!

You friend's custom Mosquito and Corsair are excellent. I remember you showing me shots of them on your digital camera at the last Chicago show. Man would I kill to get ahold of them!

I just added some cool old stuff to the collection, which I have not even taken delivery of yet, including an Elvis, a Charlie Chaplin (same as the one Bill was kind enough to bring to the last symposium) a Mounted Anglo-Egyptian Officer (Larry has one), a Mounted Seaforth Officer in Khaki (same as the one in your Zulu Photo, but in Khaki) and a New South Wales Lancer Bugler. Next year's symposium should be even more fun than the last two!
