Figarti New Releases (1 Viewer)

Well Brad, there's about 9 or 10 more I want all with different unit marking & model revisions. I would liked to have one done with Japanese's markings used on the ones they captured and used against us.

You are trying to rain on my parade again, stop picking on this old man.
Could be I can get Rick to redo one for me with the Japanese marking.

You're starting to sound like someone we know. It's just not commercially viable.

I'm not going to go that far out. If I do you can duck tape my typing fingers together for to good of all.

You had me worried there for a second Chuck ;)

I found some new photo shots of Figarti's new releases on their web site this morning. What do you think?

I'm telling you, as much as I like Honour Bound, Figarti is setting the standard of quality for armored vehicles. I can't wait to see a Sherman or a Panzer tank made by these guys. Also, I like the French Foreign legion & Japanese gun alot too.

I agree, ever since Steven Chong posted some pictures (all machined metal from what I remember) of it (the gun set) a couple of months ago, when he was in China. I have been licking my lips in anticipation ever since. :)

I wonder how it will match-up with the K&C Iwo Jima sets? I suppose the guys will be smaller and the gun will look OK because it is so large.

I'm still not seeing any comparison to HB. Maybe it is a style preference. Will give them a closer look next time though since you have such high praise.

Combat,

The first Figarti Tank (the Japanese Chi Ha) was made of something like 187 pieces of metal and polystone, with separate bogie wheels and metal tracks actually put together from dozens of metal links like the tracks really were. The hatches opened and closed, the gun elevated, and the tow hitches were separate metal pieces.

The Stuart, while not having the tracks made from metal links (I think they are resin or rubber), also has much more realistic details then anything Honour Bound or K&C has produced in polystone, and are of a quality nearly equal to the wood, metal and resin vahicles K&C made back in the mid-1990's which retailed for around $360-400. The tanks Figarti has chosen to build to date are not particularly glamorous, and don't have the more familiar markings of the western European vehicles produced by Honour Bound, but they are far closer to the die cast models mass produced by some of the big toy companies than to the rather unrealistic and "statue-like" Tanks the other companies are producing in polystone.

Give them a look.

Regards,

Louis

I have the Figarti Honey and I second what Louis had to say. The tracks on that thing are tremendously realistic so much so that I initially thought they moved. It's a very well made tank.

Figarti is 1/32 scale, so their figures are noticably smaller than K&C's. However, Figarti has this cannon in the Bataan section, so we are probably going to see U.S. troops with WWI style helmets and rifles.:)

Guys, I have the Honey and the new K/C Stuart. They are the same height and width. I have taken photos, but do not know how to post them here. Maybe someone can help ....It seems one of these mfg. have the scale wrong. Michael

Pretty cool Steven are you still over in Hong Kong?

Great stuff coming down the pipeline Rick and thanks for the pictures Steven.

Another question: Rick or does anyone else know if Figarti's new Figarti #A3208 - Humvee A comes with a machine gun mount and NOT a Toe Missile launcher. Hobby Bunker's site says it does. Does it?

Louis/Brad-
You guys make a good case for Figarti. I took a closer look at both the Chi Ha and Stuart, but I am still not convinced they are close to HB. Part of it may be the small size. The opening hatches and gun elevation are nice touches, but how often will you be doing that? Anyway I will keep an open mind on future releases and very much appreciate the information.

No, back in the U.S. Rick Wang e-mailed the pictures to me and asked me to post them. Thanks again for e-mailing the program to me.:)

Hope you had a fun trip! Always glad to help anytime!

Njja:)
