Hoping someone will be able to tell me what this new model is made from. Great that it is a reasonable price but, I have been looking at the Hobby bunker pictures and I see rather flexible tracks. Is this model a lightweight similar to FL AFV's?? I won't say plastic but lets say some similar resin type medium.

I know we are about to see an explosion of plastic painted figures and AFV's!!!!!! but, if Matt or someone can tell me what this is made of weight etc and what the tracks and wheels are able to do etc that would be great. I know Figarti like to mirror the model world and on new model kits there are working suspension but, we are talking quite innovative methods for the really good price.

It shows that technology does not have to hurt the collectors pockets but, with no dealer stocking this stuff any where near me I would like some comments on the mediums used before buying
Cheers

I think this might be my first Figarti purchase. Looks good and like price. It should good pretty good with the FL Waffen SS guys. Brad

I second that notion. Price and size compatibility with FL waffen SS are why I will be buying this Tiger (and the new Panther when it gets released).

Is it just me? I perceive a quality difference between the two models:

I like the colors on the Panther much better. I also believe that the Panther is weathered, the Tiger is not. The tracks look a little like plastic on both.

Having said that, I like both models, but wondered whether at least the paint quality and weathering on the Tiger could be improved before it goes into production. Or is this a production model?

I took the pictures under challenging lighting conditions. Quality of model is identical and tracks are incredible. However, the camo pattern is different between the models; just like it was in WWII.

The demo shown to me was putting a pencil under the treads and watching the slight bend in the track. That was impressive. However, I wouldn't roll it around like a toy.

Yes, I just found this:

And you are right, Carlos, the colors of the Tiger on this photo are very different than those on the first photo.

The 1:35 Minichamps tanks had plastic tracks. They didn't hold up very well. I'm curious as to what the Figarti tracks are made of?

The "007" Tiger has soft plastic tracks like the Dragon-Models pre-made 1/35 line. Also the Figarti Tiger will come in a LARGE window box like the Dragon line window display box only 3 times larger. This appears to be necessary because the 3 antenna's come already attached to the tank. This no doubt will complicate shipping cost for the dealers, to and from. Wittmann's Tiger also comes with a plastic display base, again just like Dragon's concept. The tank itself is heavy like polystone.

Can you imagine the room that's needed to stock 500 of these . . . {sm5}

I had a Dragon 1:35. Hard to imagine a box 3X as big. Surely the antenna could have been made separate?

I agree....I have three 1:35 scale Dragon Tigers.....They are excellent models.....I have always wished that dragon would make 1:30th scale models to go with my FL WWII figures....If Figarti can match Dragon's 1:35 scale quality on pre-built Tigers in 1:30th scale that would be FANTASTIC...I'm in.

Thanks for the comments. Leaves me with more questions I would presume that the wheels are fixed and non movable so, if the tracks are plastic how is the droop achieved to keep it on the wheels? They seem really slack to do what they do in the pictures so how are they affixed to the running gear?

Wonder why the antenna etc was fixed in place? Mind, all my boxes end up in the recycling now so, window box, plain box fancy box means nothing to me. I would be happy with plain cardboard who looks at the box anyway?

I really would like to hear Figarti answer these questions if that is not asking too much

Both the new Tiger 1 and Panther are looking very nice. I may get them both when they come out and will weather the Tiger a bit more myself.
Excellent releases with reasonable price Figarti.

The Tigers are the same quality as the Panther shown. The price has dropped because of the larger run. The Panther can be mass produced as well, but it will be most likely in the $200 range (unlikely 500 will be made). The Tanks moving forward will have a little more detail like older vehicles. It seemed in the last couple of years the tracks etc. have been more simplified.
The rest of the tigers will be packed in the normal type packaging with loose antennas taht can be put in by the end user.

What are your thoughts?

A lower downgraded version like old K&C tanks at a lower price?

They way they have been?

Or a more upgraded version at say $300 with more photo-etch, detail etc. ?

You can answer here or email at matt@hobbybunker.com

I want Them to make what the masses want!

I just received my Tiger I will do an extensive review on THE RIVET COUNT on my websites forum. I just opened the box.......It is a very different experience, right down to the packaging, I cant describe it further, without a careful study. I will have the review up in about two days. Alex

Alex..

It should take two minutes to say what the weight, size and tracks are like in terms of the question I asked above about the promo picture and the slackness of the track and how it worked. That will enable me to decide to order one.

The rivet count is or I thought whether it is an exact replica of the007 we have from the pictures of that tank. Muzzle, escape hatch, etc which are historical detail needing to be on it.

You can PM me if you wish not to openly reply
Cheers

Alex don't you mean the hobby bunker forum ?

FYI.......The in depth Battleground Art review has begun. It is a lot of work so the bulk of it will be at our location. I am also having trouble with the forum here, my enter key will no longer space.
