I am looking for an adhesive to secure metal figures in a curio cabinet which doesn't cause any damage to either the figures or the tempered glass shelves. I was thinking of some kind of putty substance. Is there anybody using this? What brand are you using and where can I find it? Thanks!

Most no one will like what I do, but I mount my 6 figure glossy sets on painted wood bases, using rubber cement. Easy to remove from TS bottoms yet keeps the sets from falling. Also makes it easier to move figure sets around. Just imagine wargame look with 32mm figures. Michael

Thanks for the quick response! Yes, I am primarily concerned with the glossy figures as often they have smaller bases and prone to tipping over with a relatively small knock! That is another approach and I was thinking of the same but I'd rather not cover-up the glass for the display I am looking for. Would that rubber cement harm the glass or the underneath base of the figure? Maybe, a putty substance is a better option... ^&confuse

Treefrog sells a product, called "Tacky Wax".
A little spot of it under the base and it will secure any figure on glass shelves.
It is easily removable without leaving any trace on the figure's base or the glass.

Thanks! That is exactly what i am looking for!

There is another product, similar to Tacky Wax, known as Museum Wax or brand name called Mini-Hold by Handcraft Designs, Inc. I would recommend either, but it appears that Tacky Wax is in a bigger container, has a smoother consistancy (easier to apply) and comes with an applicator.

I also use it to keep small accessories in place like the sashimonos, flags and swords of my Monarch Regalia figures that are supplied separately. On glass shelves, the wax can be difficult to remove, but never had an issue. I use it to secure tall trees on glass shelves as well.
