$30 will take you into second hand and maybe chipped territory, but you can find some little gems ! :wink2:

Luckily, I bought the toy soldiers already painted years ago at an acceptable price....

What I was missing was not made by the manufacturers, so I painted them myself or modified cheap del prado type toy soldiers: Pirates, gladiators (made only recently by manufacturers and which I wouldn't change for mine anyway), Alpine italian troops, ninjas, medieval servants, medieval musicians, French colonials and lastly the Mexican revolution. I only bought recently a woman with child from the Alamo series by KC for 45 euros because I really needed it.
