"Dunkirk" with John Mills and "Hud" with Paul Newman. Really liked them both. Have seen parts of them both many times but never sat through from start to finish until the other day. Thought that Dunkirk was very well done and was quite impressed with the whole thing. A fine film. Hud was a great show with some fantastic performances. Not a real uplifting show but the family dynamics made it engrossing. Can't believe it took me so long to see these shows in their entirety. -- Al

I very much agree about Dunkirk. Its a great movie, some good build up scenes, plenty of action and that action is done very well indeed for a film of its time, especially the Stuka's/ artillery scene, one of my favourite war films.

My grandfather called Dunkirk the only 'proper' war film to be made and, I think I know what he meant now. An absolutely great film
