Back On Subject: It would be interesting to actually hear what Matt and FL have in store for this upcomming year.:salute::...maybe someone can tape his talk as guess speaker.

I second that, in today's digital age it would be a piece of cake for someone with an I phone to record something someone actually meant to get out to an audience, we all know there seems to be a camera everywhere when ya don't :wink2:.

It would be really cool to see it pop up on Youtube or something, would really love to attend.

For example at recent event I held attendees paid A$49, a fair price, for a steak and chicken buffet style dinner which included soup and dessert. They received a figure that would retail for A$54. I think attendees considered they received a free figure and appreciated it as such. If people had been charged $98 for the dinner then they could rightly say the figure was not free.

I guess people such as yourself and Frank have different ways at looking at the free figure scenario.

I guess you could also look at it like you got a bit of a deal on the figure and they throw in a free meal as well. Anyway you slice it, It sounds like such a deal to me.

Sounds Great, Really looking forward to your insight and reports from the show as well as some of the other members who always do such a great job with photo's and show reports. Sammy I have a feeling your going to have a wonderful time.

I think there was mention there would be a few surprises at the show, I really wonder what is coming ?? There really are just so many possibilities, A new line ? Additions to current lines ? Heavy Armor ? Who knows ??? Good times ahead for sure ...

I'd love to hear them say Prussian Landwehr and Bavarian Chevau-Legers as well as maybe the announcement of some totally new lines. But with all that's out that I'd love to have I can wait till next year or so.

That would be something, we can hope. I can only imagine what FL could do with PWHs and a Turkish foe. The box art has been teasing us and giving me ideas for a long time, would love to see your dream announcement come true.

I am wondering if First Legion will have an own display room during the room-trading days prior to the Show?
That would be nice to present their lines, maybe with the help of a few dioramas, and also to hopefully present some "News" :smile2: :wink2:

Hi, Konrad,

In this instance, no we will not unfortunately. My wife's due date is very close to the show date and I need to be able to leave quickly should I get a call from her. So that precludes the possibility of hours of breakdown and packing things up (i.e. travelling light!). Next year at the show we will do the full deal.

I will however have some new masters and other items with me and plan to spend some time on Saturday in some dealer rooms discussing them and whatever anyone else feels like discussing. More information on this to follow.... And of course there is the dinner.....

Sorry guys,

I think it's my fault the thread got a bit off track :redface2:. I inadvertently touched on a sore subject for my buddy Frank, is was just meant to be a little joke. We all know Franks thoughts on the secondary market as well as ebay and TS speculators ... so really no need to pile on him. But on the good side maybe I also stumbled onto the thought that there may well be a FL exclusive figure, IMO it would be cool and being the FL geek that I am I most likely would like to add it to my collection.

Hilarious how many grown adult men getting bent out of shape over a FREE TOY SOLDIER handed out at the event. Back to the positive side and hats off to the companies that do this on their own accord for the attendees.
