I know this is being hopeful but hopefully First Legion will make Romans from the First Legion Germanica. I think First Legion would be very successful if they decided to have a try at the Romans either from a Republic or Imperial perspective (Stress Imperial).

I would love Romans as well. I have a preference for Ceasar and his legions but Imperial (early) would be OK as well, so long as they are still fighting the Gauls.

Romans yes, that would also interest me...a lot!

For what it is worth, I too would love to see First Legion tackle the Romans. I don't really even care which era, just would like to see thier end result. And yes, the market appeal of a 'First Legion Germanica' produced by the First Legion company is a good idea too!

I don't have a Roman collection as of yet. That would be a welcome addition. I would prefer the Republic period. I am pretty much at the end of my collecting "at a grand scale" all the other historical periods that I do collect. A Roman period would spark my interest. I also, wouldn't mind if it were done in 40mm, if this would make it less expensive for collectors and the quality was the same.

It is very tempting to do a testudo formation... but I know I will be opening the floodgates...

Naps and Crusades for now.

I too would very much enjoy the Roman Legions fighting the Gauls as depicted by FL. It almost seems inevitable to me that FL ventures into one Roman era or another, given time, especially at the rate of new range unveilings.

If I ever do the Romans, it will be just the testudo formation... but not before I get another property and a million bucks :D

Being a history buff and a student of almost all things militaria, it has been a challenge (and a deliberate policy) to keep off the romans/greeks, WWI/II, samurais, AWI, Chinese etc. Getting into too many eras would be a first step to financial ruin

So it's just Naps and Crusades.... it already a quite a handful!

Naps can be a black hole if you are a completist and if you are not. Just do an infantry square... Or may be just the cavalry... but you need that officer, that NCO, that bugler, some troopers...

Crusades... seems manageable at the moment... they don't come as thick and fast... no regiments to "complete"... I can pick the odd knight or two I like each time ... a lone knight still look alright on his own as opposed to just one single Naps British Guard (these have to come in a group)... really have to be stringent or else you end up with a whole bunch of Hospitallers, Templars, Teutonics...

Sorry about singing this tune... but S&P and Moody's are already putting me on downgrade watch

I would love to do a testudo and have looked longingly at that one but consider this. If FL does one it will be much more animated and life like. That is like their Napoleonic figures, the soldiers doing similar things will actually appear as different characters. A FL testudo would be a sight to behold and certainly a must have for me.

Most tempting... but awaiting that day will be one of trepidation... because there's so many wants and so little means...:(
