At some point over the past year I bought a pair of these figures on eBay. They look identical to FL Nap141 except for red trim instead of yellow. The base says FL Nap149 which is actually a French Line infantryman. Anyone have any idea what these are?

I'll answer this as I'm probably the only one who can. ;-)

When we originally produced these figures, we had planned two regiments one with yellow facings as released and one with red facings. However, the quality was so bad at the factory that we had to cancel the second part of the production. This was about 8 years ago at least. So what you have purchased are rejected figures or a sample never produced or made available for sale. My guess is that they came from China as that is the only place they could have come from and they were liquidated by the facility that was to make them. The source of these figures is the same exact source of the other illegal figures being sold on ebay.

Best,

Matt

Of course, it would have been better had it been legal, although the buyer was unaware of its questionable legitimacy.

That begs the question, Matt, when do we get the second regiment? There is certainly space for them in my display case.

Please don't let them off so easy, we do need more Wurttemberger figures but please some fighting poses, Artillery or Cavalry units ^&grin

YES ! much more Wurttemberger for your German dealer and your collectors all of the world ! please ! c´mon Matt !^&cool^&grin

Most likely never. The sculpting on those just aren't up to today's standards for us. That being said, I do agree we need more minor Napoleonic states. However, as we are already up to our eyeballs with Napoleonic releases this year, more Confederation figures will have to wait....

Matt

Sounds like an MB release to me. I personally would go with that as I would display the new figures close to the previous release.
