I would like to know???? why delete a recent thread which was very helpful to me and others in regards to gauging the scale of the new FL Stugs.....It was deleted in its entirety.......If a few posts needed to be deleted that would be understandable but not the entire thread.....Some of the Photos posted by Nasir were extremely helpful......in establishing the FL stugs as true 1:30 scale......An entire thread should not be deleted for a few poor posts.....The forum must be allowed to engage itself in free speech as long as it is within the boundries of good taste......It is OK for forum members to critque and disagree regarding products......

This should be obvious, political correctness dictates that we should all be punished instead of making the guilty recieve punishment that would make them feel bad, besides they are just victims of the rest of the forum members!!

Both threads were deleted by me. Both of them spiralled out of control and I was unable to clean everything thing up. I had locked the threads to allow other mods to weigh in. Then people began copying and pasting so I deleted them for now. This is not to say they cannot be cleaned up and the posts restored.

Thanks for your cooperation and patience.

Scott

I think too many people don't have a lot to do so they play up here on the forum. The size difference is of no concern to me but the the look of the stug does.Having been a model builder I really like the extra detail in FL stugs bring to the table. To get the detail they do is why they used resin and not poly .You could not get the same detail with poly as it needs to be thicker in places for strength. The only thing I can say is why I will never buy one is that I will never see one in person in Australia unless a forum member here buys one.It takes a brave man to pay $300 US for something he hasn't seen in person.Just my thoughts.Simmo.:p

So who is the guilty one: the one constantly, but constantly not seeing the obvious, insulting a manufacturer constantly through provocative comments/questions or the one trying to shut that person up? Or let's put it that way: how much crap can one take, how many "imo" or "imho" can one take before reacting?

And that is a fair, objective statement which nobody here would object to!

Scott, I believe in all "Fairness" to First Legion and Forum menbers the thread should be restored along with Nasir's Photos......The posts which are "clearly" objectionable should be deleted yes.....But this forum should REMAIN OPEN to reasonable and intelligent discussion.......It helps most of us make our purchasing decisions....and provides valuable insights into historical data....I vote to re-restore the thread....Thank you and with complete respect....Vezzolf

It might be helpful if you posed a question that the moderators can understand. Scott has explained why the threads were deleted. I'm not sure what more you require. If you find a post that you think violates the rules of the Forum, you should use the "report a post" icon and then the moderators will examine the post to see if further action is warranted.

I agree. The thread came to some resolution about the size (visually) of both the FL and K&C stugs as being 1/30 scale size compatible and that from photos of actual soldiers and stugs in the 1940s, the FL figures were a correct size to go with them. I suppose a few people got into an argument over it (I was away and missed that part) and when I next looked, 2 of the threads were entirely deleted. Surely the factual posts can be restored to those 2 threads and the people doing the arguing cautioned?

I don't know what you want now? I asked a question, but not to Scott (a) and (b) I had some very interesting and helpful pm exchange with Scott and we are both in full agreement. So take it easy and take a step back before you agress me!

With respect, I think everyone on this forum and certainly the moderators know very well what he is saying. Many of us have said similar things publically and to moderators before and it has had little effect on the pattern of conduct. Someone seems to have a very special protected status that they have labored very hard to show how much it is undeserved. With reluctant concession to the preference here for no personal comment; it is not really possible to say much more.:(

Just trying to be helpful but if you and Scott have worked it out, then my apologies.

Yes, it is a shame that the thread was deleted in its entirety, perhaps it can be restored after the more personal comments are removed.

However to preserve the integrity of this forum and encourage free speech it would be a shame if posts were deleted purely because some members did not agree with them.

Sorry Vezzolf, but I do not agree that the scale issues have been solved by the photographs supplied by Nasir etc.

Did you not observe that the First Legion figures matched the 1/32 scale Forces of Valor Panzer IV Ausf F perfectly?

Please tell me how the First Legion figures could also be compatible with the new First Legion Stug if it is larger than the K & C Stug which has already been confirmed as being 1/30 scale in Length & Width?

Obviously such factors won't worry those collectors that are not concerned about scales or don't have the money to buy a $300 tank.

However there are plenty of collectors that do have the money to buy it, but are concerned about scale, and I am one of them. Consequently I look forward to viewing some actual measurements of the First Legion Stug to settle this scale matter.

Ok we need to bang this on the head now !!!!! We get it you are not happy with the scale difference. You cannot drag this arguement into every single thread.

Topic locked !! AGAIN

As we have mentioned many times, we have a moderation COUNCIL and when there are issues threads and posts are often soft deleted or locked so the COUNCIL can take a look at them and decide what if anything needs to be done. Most of the council has been/is away at the moment and so this may take longer than usual. I believe three threads have been locked in the past 24 hours--obviously there are people who continue to post in a way that causes controversy and issues. Perhaps if everyone made the attempt to post in an objective matter and the same old arguments weren't dragged up over and over threads wouldn't need to be locked and reviewed.
