Yeah, let us know what you think of them Sammy! I'm really curious to hear what their next range is going to be....I have a feeling its something that will reel me in. Please post a few pics of your first FL sets if you can. From what I've heard, you can go wrong w/ their soldiers.

I think you were trying to say that , from what you have heard you can't go wrong with their Soldiers .. And that would be very true indeed ;) All the best Gebhard

I've purchased both German and Russian figures and they simply OUTSTANDING. The level of detail on these figures IMO are superb to say the least. If your a fan of the Battle of Stalingrad and or Eastern Front battles these are a must have.
you will not be disappointed. I look forward to the future releases to this WW2 line of figures.:):)

OOPS!!!!! Yes, you are correct Gebhard! Thank you for correcting that for me:). I sometimes get lazy and "forget" to proofread before I post, and sometimes voice the exact opposite thing of what I intended to say:eek:!:p

Well guys, I just opened my first two sets of First Legion WWII Germans...

GERSTAL008
GERSTAL012

What can I say but WOW!!!!!!!! the detail is in the same catagory as St. Petersburg, every piece on the uniform to the gun, are absolutely superb!! I have been excited about getting soldiers before but this takes it to a whole new level, now I know what Frank was talking about, here's the biggest suprise.. my wife who could care less about WWII soldiers even commented on the finger nails on GERSTAL012 and his ears under his German helmet, and how "neat" these guys were, more then neat I say, so my personal insight is I'm glad I'm on the First Legion bandwagon, just a few weeks ago I felt like I was out of this hobby for good, but no way in hell now, as long as F.L. and Matt keep the quality up as these first sets are I'll be in it for the long haul, outstanding work First Legion keep up the great work, and already looking forward to my next few sets...Sammy

Congratulations Sammy; I am not surprised you love them. They are addictive.

Welcome Aboard Sammy,
I'm very happy for you finding First Legion and rejuvenating your love for the hobby . All of us who actually own First Legion products feel the same way , And as you alluded to with reference of your wife taking note of the fine detail . I have had the same experience, even to the untrained eye of a non collector and someone with no interest in the Hobby its easy for them to distinguish between what you collected in the past and what you have now found in First Legions products . The realism starting with the sculpting of a figure with life like proportions and going down to the finest details in the uniforms and equipment , and being finished with painting verging on those of the connoisseur class figures of , Aeroart , Kolobob , and other fine Russian studios really puts First Legion in a class all by themselves . I'm sure as your collection grows you will also find as we all have that the quality of First Legions products continue to improve with every new release . Only one warning , they are very addictive  All the best Gebhard

Will be ordering the tank riders and a few Ruskies next week, haven't gotten any Russians yet, plus I just pre-ordered my glass curio cabinet for my F.L. WWII series, these guys deserve the best!!!...Sammy

Don't pass on the Russian scouts. I received my set this past week and was BLOWN AWAY by the level of detail and realism of this latest release.
IMO once you hold several of these figures in your hand and realize that you will be able to create an entire battle with the most realistic figures on this planet, you can't help but be hooked.:)

Well guys, my soldier count is up to 10 germans with 2 on the way....slowly building my collection, hoping also to pick up both vehicles over the next month or so, so far I have been more then pleased with all of the poses of my First Legion germans, as well as the detail and paint scheme, the size was a bit getting use too, after having basically only K&C size soldiers to compare with, but now no problem at all, can't wait to see where the WWII series will be in a few years, as good as the germans look,I really look forward to hopefully seeing some U.S. soldiers in the future...Sammy

Very Happy that you are enjoying your new collection . I had the same experience when i purchased my first group of Bavarian figures from First Legion awhile back , I was so Happy to see someone finally doing Bavarians that I just bought a couple to check em out . I also had a rather large K & C collection and it took me about 10 seconds to adjust to the new guy on the block .Looking back at my Bavarians they look almost crude when compared to say the Prussians ,the sculpting and painting have continued to improve with each new release which is to me very impressive as the Bavarians were quite good at the time .
Not sure if you are into the Russian front or not , but I don't think you will see any Americans in the near future as First Legion focus on the task at hand, and I don't see them jumping to the western Front unless one of the new lines coming this year is an expansion of their WWII line . Looking down the road your collection will surely be something that will bring you hours of enjoyment and a collection to be proud of . Happy collecting Gebhard
