Hi guys. here the first step of remodeling set VN023. But first it is a beautiful figure and the posture is good to use in any Vietnam war Diorama. I started with the helmet camouflage. have used green stuff. it sticks very well and is easy to work with. Now that the helmet is ready and needs to dry first. To be continued tomorrow.

Harry,

That looks good.

A couple of questions.

What sculpting tool do you use for that effect? And do you need to keep wetting the tool as you shape the putty?

I've watched a few videos on sculpting with green stuff and use it myself for minor repairs but am keen to learn more.

Hi Scott, Thanks for the compliments. I have used several modeling tools. like Stainless Steel Carvers set but most of all a small hobby knife. and yes I first dip my tools in a cup of cold water so that it doesn't stick to the green stuff.

Hi Guys

Step two of the remodeling set VN023. The helmet is dry and cured. I think the pictures give a clear picture of how I did it. hope you like it and soon the painting of the figure. I am not sure yet if I also give the uniform a different color?

Hi Guys

The last step of remodeling set VN023. For painting i used a lot of colors Model arylic-colors from Vallejo. I decided to give the uniform a different color. And to get as close as possible to K&C I also used some modeling grass. And here's the result.

Great "how to" post-what settings do you have on your camera to get such a crisp shot? It looks like the last 2 are shot in a light box? Thanks
