As I started painting the facings and leggings on the Infantry figures I got slightly distracted and left the Compagnies Franches de la Marines figures to one side. So I will play catch up with those later.

Once the rest of the equipment is painted the flesh colour of the face and hands will make them look a lot better.

The leggings btw had an undercoat of matt white and then one coat of gloss on top.

I believe the bases on these particular figures are best suited to a dark grey finish. So Jeff should have no problem in getting the distemper brush out and sploshing a bit around their feet. Pardon? What's that? There's a national shortage of dark grey humbrol gloss you say? Surely not.

Well, base colour aside (and as we all know, green bases are SOOO last seasons thing), they're looking pretty spangly.

The green bases look great and the soldiers are awesome........sweet job.
