Hi,

I'm getting ready to varnish a unit of Connecticut Provincials (to help withstand the handling they get during the games we play), and so needed to paint new uniform colors onto a pair of Sergeants and Officer. Thought I'd share these, and a couple others who've gotten new uniforms.

On the far left of the photo is Lt. Jenkins of the Virginia Provincials, in his original uniform scheme of blue coat with red facings, in the process of getting his new base. To his right is his "twin brother" in the uniform of the New York Provincials, drab coat with buckskin waistcoat and trousers. To his right is the most recent addition to the Connecticut Provincials, in red coat with yellow facings.

On the far right is the original Sergeant of the 60th Royal Americans in red coat with blue facings. To his left is a Sergeant of the Virginia Provincials in opposite colors: blue coat with red facings. And to his right is one of the new Connecticut Provincial Sergeants, in red and yellow.

The second photo shows the Connecticut unit with its new officers, awaiting their protective varnish. . .

Bests,
Chris

I have also been doing a few repaints to other regiments for a local collector here in Perth.

Here I have repainted BM-24 - 44th Regiment of Foot, British Line Infantry, Firing #2

as a line infantry regiment in European kit, with red trousers and white gaiters.

Excellent results on both repaints and well done Chris and John. Regards Greg.

You guys amaze me, here I am with a brilliant plan but simply afraid to act, just need to change the lace band on the tricorner hats on the New Jersey Blues from gold to white and you have Virginia marching to the Monongahela!!!!!!

Simply outstanding work!!!

Just go for it, Fraxinus! You must have one model you can experiment on : )

Nice work, Obee!

Bests,
Chris

Really nice work as always you two.

Chris,

My Lt. Jenkins arrived with a broken pistol hand. Pin snapped at the wrist. John said he would send me another one, but alas, no figure was sent. Now I see why he ran out. :)

I ended up sculpting a different pose for the arm. It was my first attempt at this scale. I will try to post a picture of him for you.
