The French with their Canadian militia and Indian allies were much better at the type of warfare happening in North America than the British, Americans and their Indian allies with several disasters for the British.
But sometimes things turned out best for the British as in my little story here where British troops and some allied Indians have come across a small party of Canadian militia resting at a small farmstead.
Finding themselves encircled the militia retreat into the cabin, but forgetting to quench the fire inside, the British take advantage with a couple of men clambering onto the roof and stuffing a hat into the chimney. The cabin soon becomes full of choking smoke and the British wait patiently outside for them to surrender.

Figures, WB, JJD, Thomas Gunn.

Three brilliant photos. Really imaginative scene. The allies creeping through tHe high grass is masterful. Less is more.

It ll be like shooting (smoked) fish in a barrel...I see you have some nice barrels at hand

TG figures for this period are superb.

Thanks Malcolm and all forum members for the likes, thanks as well.

Yes the TG figures are great, I do hope that they will bring out more in the range as there are so many other possibilities, but Romans seem to have most of TG's attention at present, which I have to say are great as well !

Impressive set-up and shoot. Good subject matter too.

This is a well thought-out and creative scene you've done.

Sorry I missed it when you first posted it but I am glad that I discovered it now.

I am curious about the ground or dirt base you used. Where is that from?

Thanks for the kind words.
Base is easily and cheaply done Mark.
You'll need a piece of board, (I used chipboard simply as I can get off cuts free from work) Brown acrylic paint, kids poster paint kind of stuff and the earth covering is used Tea leaves from Tea bags, dried out and mixed with pva glue and brown paint, slapped on a board and a few cart tracks made with a wood toothpick and left to dry ! Then I just added a little green scatter grass and / or a few clumps of static grass ( from Warpainter: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/x117-shee...hash=item41b6ce37f7:m:m7utaRD5G_2zED78XTqq7vQ ) I expect there will be guys in the US who do exactly the same stuff.

Hope this all helps.
Steve
