Guys,

Any pics of ww1 germans and French? Do they match up with each other in size/scale and facial style? Long story short, not exactly thrilled with some other manufacturers in these issues. Any opinions appreciated.

I have a few French and German and they match. However, their figures don't really match, stylistically, other companies' figures. Although not the same thing people mix in Britains ACW figures with FL's.

I have a few and I think they are incredible, I only wish I had more. They are IMO the most detailed WWI figures made to date. That is not to take away from anything any of other manufactures are doing or have done which are fine in their own right its just my opinion.

Jazzeum,

Thanks, that is the info I was looking for. They look great. I already sent back the KC poilus to the dealer to get some more JJD WW1 stuff, at least all figures are same size. One of these days I am going to start a FL collection of some sort. They are just too good and their WW2 figures and vehicles look right together. I am sure if they do WW1 vehicles they will match up with the figures. Thanks again.

Glad to help AW. Have you seen their recent announcement about the French 155mm artillery set. It looks outstanding.

Here are a few shots so you can see the detail in the equipment, and the quality of the paintwork ie,, wear and tear. Excellent figures which would make wonderful additions to anyone interested in the period. regards Gebhard

The detail on the sculpting is really well done, I'm a equipment and uniforms guy so its very cool to see the use of the early Segeltuchtasche which were the first special bags issued to Imperial German troops starting in 1915 to carry the gasmask and filter separately, later they were replaced by larger cans (Bereitschaftsbuchse neuen Munster) which were issued as of 1916 and were able to carry the completed assembly. I love these figures and will be adding more when time and money allows :wink2:. regards Gebhard

Simply Excellent....Ya gotta admit....FACT: the detail is outstanding on these First Legion figures:salute::
