Hello

Could someone please advise me if the newish Gurkha figures would also work for a North African scene as well as the intended jungle one?

Cheers

Stephen

Probably yes.

Here are Girkhas manning a 6 pdr in Tunisia in 1943

Hi Stephen

I would say the Gurkha figures would fit in well for North Africa as they're wearing Khaki Drill (cotton) and the officer seems to be wearing Wool, Battledress trousers certainly more suitable for N.Africa in Winter than Jungle any time !

Steve.

There is a difference.

Hello Steve & Terry

Many many thanks for your quick responses.

I might add that getting answers from people across the other side of the world, who take the time to answer questions from people they don’t know is just one of the many reasons that forums such as treefrog continue to thrive and have meaning.

Once again many thanks and merry Xmas.

Cheers

I concur, and I was planning to put them into my North Africa battle scene. I believe at least one of the Gurkha VC's was earned for actions in the Western Desert.

Hi Stephen,

I couldn't agree more! :smile2:This forum is my favourite hangout where I can share a common hobby with people from other countries and feel like home! We're really one big family here.

Best wishes and merry Christmas to everyone.

Enrico

P.S: I'm going to put a few Gurkha figures into my North Africa diorama . As Steve has said... they would fit well in that kind of battle scene {sm4}
