WW2 Tweets from 1940 ‏ @RealTimeWWII

From UK humor paper Punch: "A cricket enthusiast wants to know when test matches with Australia will resume. Patience! One war at a time."

Rob,
Hitler couldn't knock you brits for six back in 1940 but the blokes below would have. For english cricket WW2 saved them from further embarrassment at the hands of the future immortals captained by the Don seen showing their priorities during the war.^&grin^&grin{sm4}:wink2:

Even he couldn't scare the Queen mum though, when invasion threatened she got herself a piece and went into Buck Palace gardens for target practice!{eek3}

Lillee was fast indeed, but some of those West Indians were incredibly fast, Roberts, Holding, Marshall etc, I'd have wanted Tiger I armour to face those guys!

West Indians fast!!!!! good god they made superman look like he was standing still, I don't think we will ever see their like again, which is a shame for all cricket lovers.
(unless you are a batsman{eek3}{sm2})
