Guys
An easy and cheap way to make palm trees:
-Take two pieces of paper glue them together with a piece of metal wire in between. ( allows you to bend the leave in any form once finished)
-Draw the contour of your leave on the paper
-cut the leave out of the paper
-Start cutting the separate bristles of the leave ( leave one, cut one away)- see picture for what I mean exactly
-Repeat this exercise until both sides of the leave are done .
-paint the leaves before you put them onto the tree trunk
-For the trunk, take a small wooden stick from the garden, wrap it in milliput and model the milliput into the typical palm tree look
-paint the trunk . When dry glue the leaves in place and bend them in the desired form
-You need 8 to 10 leaves per tree.
It is not more complicated than that ;
A few pictures to show you the result . Hope this helps

I mean "leaf and leafs" of course !!!! Sorry for the spelling mistake

Neat trick, Guy! You could also use green crepe paper, for a base color and some additional texture. Tamiya's T-rex kit includes some cycads with crepe paper and wires to make the foliage, in a similar fashion.

Prosit!

Great tip Guy. Such techniques are especially good because their practice leaves more cash for toy soldiers :) :salute::
