K&C's Jagdpanther was one of the very first i purchased and still a favourite.Heres the one at the IWM,but i mainly took this to show Terry the holes made by he Churchill that got round the side and knocked her out.

The Churchill gunner must have gotten excited and fired 3 rounds at the same spot just to make sure. :)

The museum plaque seems a bit vague to me and mentions a Cromwell rather than a Churchill. There are actually Four penetrations in the hull. Some websites list the First shot towards the rear as being the shot that disabled this Command version forcing the crew to abandon it, the other Three close grouped holes were said to be from subsequent penetration tests.

That said, you certainly have to give credit to the bravery of the allied tank crews that took on these German heavies with less than adequate tanks such as the Churchill, Cromwell and Sherman.

I wonder how many allied tanks were lost to win this particular engagement?
