About ten years ago my wife was in Germany and found a toy soldier shop in Berlin. Here it is.

Also there is a toy soldier show in Germany. This info comes from Bill Hocker's site.

I'll second your recommendation on Scholtz' site, Russell. I'm one of his Internet customers, their service is great, and it's nice to have contacts over there, for those kinds of things that you have to be local to find.

Maybe we'll see each other in Kulmbach next year, I'm making my travel arrangements now. I'll buy you a beer, in the best beer town in Bavaria (after Munich).

Prost!

Hi Brad, Wasn't really thinking of going there next year, but if there's a free beer included ...

I shop there as well though the exchange rate with the Euro makes it rather pricey, but as you said Brad there are many things you just can't find in the states.

Hi Guys,

I havent made it to Berlin yet but its on the to do list. I will of course hit this shop when we go. I can say that I found a shop selling amazing militaria and composition soldier from before the 2nd war. I picked up 4 very nice figures and will post photos eventually.

Of course I will be keeping the shop name to myself until I get the rest of the figures I want. Sorry but I promise to share it with you all eventually.

The first toy soldier shops I ever went to were in Germany- I want to say near Rotenburg but could be mistaken- spent so much time near there that it would seem to be probable.

One shop had a massive table of Britains deetail mounted knights which I bought and stil thankfully own.

I also bought Atlantic's plastic Romans and Greeks at the stores in Germany

Chris,

I do believe we ate a lot of the same dust while on AD and can confirm that there is a Store in the Rotenburg area, I believe there may well be one in Amberg as well.

I got you r PM and once I am not using the library PC and have our home stuff set up I will drop you a note in reply. Till then take care my friend.
