DSCN1532.JPGDSCN1533.JPGDSCN1534.JPGDSCN1535.JPGLibrary in this room focuses on Civil War. Displays and Dioramas cover the following periods: Greek War with Persia, Roman vs. Celtic Tribes, Norman Knights, Napoleonic Wars, Crimean War, WWI (Medical & Trench Warfare), French Foreign Legion (in cabinets), and Ceremonial British Marching Bands and Guard Regiments (in cabinets). Reference Library and Sudan Diorama are in the Hobby / Computer Room. Also displayed are war medals and badges (includes from family) and some militaria from Crimean War to Present. See Fort-Stamford's Photo Albums for past and present dioramas and artifacts. Enjoy. {sm4}

Very, very nice. Every man cave needs a stone fireplace for that basic man requirement, fire, to keep our bones warm.:smile2: Nice job. -- Al

Looks great. Amazing how the Toy Soldier displays add to the room, giving it a neat and sophisticated look {bravo}}

This room of yours looks fabulous!! I love the layout and how you've displayed everything. I especially like that British call booth cabinet. Do you leave the table displays out like that permanently? If so, how much of a problem is dust?

Thanks for sharing and feel free to post more pics, even some close up shots.

Yes I like the adaption of the telephone call box too, now that's thinking out of the box, thanks for sharing, cheers, Robin.

The room stays pretty well dust free. To get to the Man Cave from the rest of the house, you need to go through a double set of doors, and room windows are air tight. The room is also totally sound proofed for the 7.1 surround-sound TV/audio system, plus the room has been heavy double door isolated from the same level band room next door. The only permanent display is the Waterloo display over the three cabinets (very little dust). As to close-up shots, refer to my albums.

Btw, the red phone boxes go for a lot of money over here and I've seen one converted into a shower!

Fort-Stamford's Man Cave Photos

Per request, I've added a photo album of the displayed items and dioramas as of 11/16/2012. I've labelled the photos for everyone's convenience. Enjoy.
