Forthcoming Australian Light Horse Figures (1 Viewer)

Obertsoskar mate,
Not the Imperial Camel Corp cobber, but the Australian Camel Corp.^&grin^&grin would sell extremely well. I think that this could be a possibility. There are a lot English gentlemen out there like the Grey Goose who are really into camels.:smile2: I mean who collect camels.
Cheers Howard

Ok I am in Howard, you have my support to put Andy in arm lock in July to make this happen. Remember he was a Marine so watch your step. Cheers, Robin.

Howard,

I think you are getting carried away..

It was the Imperial Camel Corp according the Australian War Memorial http://www.awm.gov.au/units/unit_13624.asp

Its states:

The Imperial Camel Corps (ICC) was formed in January 1916 in order to deal with the revolt of pro-Turkish Senussi tribesmen in Egypt’s Western Desert.

The first four companies were recruited from Australian infantry battalions recuperating after Gallipoli. Four battalions were eventually formed.

The 1st and 3rd were entirely Australian, the 2nd was British, and the 4th was a mix of Australians and New Zealanders.

The ICC also had its own machine gun unit, and a battery of light artillery recruited in Hong Kong and Singapore.

So it was from all part of "The Empire"

God Save The King

John
