Do any of you think you will be able to display the new paras next to the old ones?.I have resisted buying the old stuff because although they are valuable of course,i think the new paras will be of such quality that they won't work together. Its the same with the waffen ss stuff. There is a certain period of production that i don't go past because i do love my collection to all have the same look.

I have the set FJ05 Ambushers(which i'm going to sell soon)and i would say that is about as far back as i want to go.Before that and they start looking almost like a different company. This not a criticism, quite the reverse. The progress in realism has been outstanding and just gets better and better.

As for vehicles i think the same applies or though they do fair better than the figure sets. Was just wondering what others think.

I agree, and I will also be waiting for some new issues. Besides, the retired fj figures are selling for big prices, so sell them for big dollars while you can I'd say.

I think the original FJ series was pretty well sculpted so that I think if they are side by side with the new ones, the differences wouldn't be as startling as putting a WS 17 next to today's German troops. You could try doing that with some of the NMA and I don't think you're going to see a huge difference.

My policy is not to sell my King and Country so I look at it a little differently. However, prices on the FJ 5 are running around $200 or so if you should decide to do that.

The new FJs and British Para are two of the series I'm really looking forward to this year.

Thanks Brad,i was wondering roughly how much they'd go for.Did you mean you were looking forward to NMA's FJ's,or have i missed out on some K&C news!.

I've only got the AK13 FJ MG team to go by and although the faces seem a little 'cherubic' compaired to the latest releases, I still think they are of a high standard.

What I really like are the poses for the FJ 2,3,4 and 5 sets. If those poses or similar were released with todays level of realistic sculpting, that would be superb.

Rob, I don't think you missed anything re the release of FJs other than on another thread, Andy came on with one of his cryptic teasers that seemed to suggest (although not confirm) that the FJs were going to get a comeback in the near future. I hope I'm not assuming too much. If I'm wrong and it has been confirmed, I'm sure someone will correct this.

In the mean time, I guess I'll have to save the pennies ready for the Brit Paras. :)

The Fj's sound like a very real possiblity, with the huge prices the older sets are commanding right now added to the great improvement in recent sculpts and painting, it seems like a pretty good idea to try and wait for new releases.;)

Well i am certainly saving my cash and K&C vouchers up for release of the British paras.I am hoping for the first time to buy them all as they are released(assuming there are 4-6 sets at a time)but its going to take a lot of will power because i want other stuff too.I also hope to buy the light brigade stuff but this might have to wait.

Was that a New Year resolution Brad? :)

Nope, anything that goes into my collection does not leave. What I've sold on ebay is, for the most part, for a friend or partials of sets I've had. I know others will sell the older stuff to pay for the newer stuff but that's not what I do.

Rob, I meant that I'm looking forward to what K & C might be doing. Andy implied as much on this forum recently although not explicitly.

I've recently completed my FJ set (except for the schwimm) with the purchase of FJ06. I love them so much I could never part with them. I think it was with the FJ range that the quality of K&C's WWII range really went up a notch.

There are some great action poses amongst them and some good faces. There seems to be two type of faces in the 5 sets so I assume 2 different sculptors worked on them. The painting also is top notch. FJ04 is one of K&C's best WWII sets in my opinion and the 3 figures in the Comms set are of a very high sculpting and painting standard.
Take a look at the FJ wearing his zeltbahn in FJ06. It's so detailed you can really see the creases in the fabric, and the material really seems to hang correctly.

The DAK repaints are also very nice but the originals are better as the facial expressions are better painted and the camouflage is correct.

If I was a lawyer I guess I'd counter with: "Surely you meant to say yes, but not much" :)

No, what I said and so it's clear, as if anyone cares, that I do not sell off pieces of my collection. What I sell is (i) pieces belonging to my friend; or (ii) extras.

"Who cares is right"......your collection is your own business.....Vezzolf

I agree 100% what a person does with his personal collection is his business.

So, now who's touchy Brad, I thought you liked to get things 'correct' :D

You said it was your policy "not to sell your King & Country collection". Perhaps you should have added - "except for the extras" :)

Not touchy at all. Just clearly explaining since apparently I wasn't clear :)

So what vehicles do people think we can expect with this range?.I would imagine a jeep of course, but what about armour.I have a bridge to far dvd upstairs and am trying to remember if any of those tanks might have been Fireflies?.As for the German armour do you think Andy has already made most of them or is there some overlooked items waiting to be made?.
