Mate that is superb, your Dio,s arn't helping Not buy WW1 planes, well done cob.

I see 'father & son' day went very well again!

Beautiful job on the aerodrome and the Pfalz D-IIIa came out wonderfully. It is a very sleek bird and, IMO, one of the best-looking and most aerodynamic aircraft of the war. A very attractive paint scheme from Jasta 18, as well. -- Al

Nicely done!! Good use of scenics and the figures.

Who makes the building in the background/where did you get it?

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I really like the WW1 aircraft - lots of colour and character. I know there is a lot of talk about rising prices but the making of dios and then photographing them always seems a way to stretch the entertainment dollar a bit further. Thank God for digital photography. The cost of the film developing would make the figures look cheap. One think I have learned though - and I learnt this from Randy (Polarbear) - is that you do not need 20 figures in a diorama to make it look good. If fact, sometimes it seems the fewer the better.

The barn is a Waynepoo special made from paddle pop sticks glued to a shell of the building made from scrap wood.

The next project is an Eindecker which was built to fly and turn like a bird. A fascinating aircraft. My Head of Construction has decided on the Austro-Hungarian colours. For those like Larso who mock the collaborative nature of my ventures, my role has expanded. I am standing holding the light because both of us are too tight to buy the stand.

Thanks again everyone.

Good one Jack. And the lighting is good - no matter the means as long as the result is good. I have relied on natural sunlight so far but it seems to have rained for most of the year and so it seems inevitable that investment in a spot will occur in the near future. Oh, and collaboration is always good - well done that builder of the Pfalz.

...and well done to the man who lent me the bell tents!
