FOV Lee weathered (2 Viewers)

Brad,
You are absolutely correct. I use future on my models. I applied the same principal for the Lee. The only difference is, the decals are already on the vehicle. I wanted to make sure I had a protective barrier on the existing factory paint and decals before I applied any weathering. The whole tank was sprayed...then the weathering...dullcote was then sprayed on the tank...followed by the weathering pigment.

I have a bottle of future that has been in my cabinet a few years and never was open. It looks a little yellow but I was wondering if it would be OK to use? I bought it for decals but never used it or tried it with an airbrush. John:confused:

Leadmen,

If it has yellowed I would be leery of using it. In my area Future is only about $4-$5 at grocery stores. Compare that versus the price and time of your project and using fresh material comes out pretty cost effective!

Thanks Gary: That is why I was hesitant to use it. I see some hobby stores are selling it but for some reason you can buy it cheaper at the grocery store then a few ounces from a hobby supplier. I know when my model varnish turns yellow I no longer use it. John
