I am a big fan of the FOV metal WWII figures. They look great for the price. However, I think that if FOV came out with German metal figures they would look equally as good. What do you all think?

I think you misunderstood me. Their aren't any out, but I wanted to see how many people were interested in FOV producing German metal figures. Sry no new ones yet:(

I could be mistaken, but I thought I read somewhere that FOV has done away with that metal line.

It is true. I don't think that line was a huge success. They've gone back to plastic figures now and have apparently a new range of Roman soldiers out now. I haven't seen them though.

FOV made a series of GI's in metal and I understand they have indeed been deleted. They were ok for the price but not much better than their plastic figures imo. If you compare them directly with a recent King and Country figure you will see the FOV metal guys aren't up to that standard.

However, I think there would be huge market for decent mass produced metal figures, especially if other armies such as the Germans were included. Let's hope FOV are also considering this and issue some more metal figs.

The one advantage of the FoV "Soldiers of Steel" series is that the figures were in 1/32nd scale. I agree that there's no comparing them to K&C, however 1/30th is a whole different animal. As far as more Nazis - there's already a LOT.

Yesterday I noticed in Target Store that FOV had their new painted 1/32 plastic figures out. Romans and Roman Cavalry, Vikings with Cavalry and Knights, both foot and mounted. Did not see any new WWll guys. Some packs have extra accessories like a neat hay wagon and catapults. Did not get any, wife was there complaining about 3 orders this week. Leadmen

Not all Germans were Nazi's, same as all Americans aren't Replubicans :)

FOV had a line of metal Germans planned. Odd thing was they were winter dress. They showed them at toy fair. The first series came out failed and they are done now! Thankfully, IMHO!

The new figures are well done and a good price, save the doesnt compare to K&C comments because for price K&C doesnt compare!

I would imagine its only a matter of time before they hit WWII again with the new figure set ups. Which I believe will be a huge success!;)

I e-mailed Panache Place and got a reply saying that their would be no more figure sets for 2006, but that they will definately come out with new WWII 1?32nd figure sets for 2007.

FOV is a good bang for the buck, and if you mess around with them they don't look half bad. I did a Diorama with them, check post 367 under Board tonight post a Diorama. Firebat

I wonder if they meant their usual plastic versions or are they giving metal figures another try next year. If they improved the detail and issued a series of sets from the different WWII beligerents I think they'd have a winner.

They weren't specific. I wonder what they will put out..........
