Looks really good but the eyes are a bit too large.{eek3}
I have a bunch of tankers which I will be repainting real soon.
I'm not a fan of painting faces but I'm getting a little better with each mini victim I do repaint.

I have a lot of FOV vehicles.
Can't beat the price for the quality and detail of their vehicles.
Stay well.

Nick ,

When you finish repainting your tankers...post some pics...I also got alot of FOV stuff every time my wife dragged me to the store , i would say ok look @ those clothes i will be in the toy section looking @ tanks...Just started repainting the figures...no harm , no foul repainting them...with the FOV figures seem to have the paint just slapped on there...love the vehicles as you said for the price...
Been picking up old Britians Deetail figures & vehicles to repaint...check out my page from time to time , i will post my finished projects...

You could both cheet remember at 1/35th scale archer and verlinded do eyeball transfers. Not used them myself but, have heard once you master putting them in place they are effective at this scale.

Have never heard of that myself Mitch...working the eyes is always a frustrating issue...That is why i don't mind repainting FOV figures , gives me something to work on...What i just got through doing Mitch was i picked up a few lots of the old Britians Deetail's stuff...The original stuff not the Chinese made stuff...I picked up a bunch of 8th army figures w/ a vickers & a Dingo scout car...a couple of german motorcycle/sidecars & German mortar team & infantry...My plan is to repaint them all...Only two of my Britians Deetails from the 70's made it with me til today...I repainted them a few years ago...

Joe..

Sounds like you have got some nice stuff and, plenty of work ahead of you!!! The eyes have always, for me, been the hardest part of the face to recreate. have a look at the decals I think they also do things like tatoo's. The decals today are really impressive, fiddly, but, impressive and, covered with a varnish do bring eyes to life. I must admit to liking to hand paint as much as possible but, it often saves a lot of time to make decals at home or, buy them in. Look forward to seeing some of the repaints hitting the forum

eyeball transfers sounds like a type of eye surgery.
I've seen those eyeball transfers but was hesitate to get them because they're too small for my eyes to see!

I'll post photos when I paint 'em.
I repaint the FOV vehicles also and have done several, especially 21st Cent vehicles where I have done modifications, etc... to them.

Nick ,

i look forward to seeing the pic's...I build models , but i have not repainted any vehicles from FOV or 21st century...Post some pics of your repaint/modified vehicles as well...would like to see them...

Joe

I'll take some photos over the weekend and post 'em soon.
I try not to build models do to the time restraint it takes because we need items pretty quick for our Battle Scene Productions diorama scenes.:wink2:
I do deconstruct models which are already built and make them look damaged but not supper detailed like those pro model modelers.

FOV 223 Tiger 1, before and after.
Not much on repainting this one just had some fun with the camo.

21st Cent Stug before and after.
Camo design is the before and I've seen this selling for a pretty penny while I'm re-modeling it. Ha!
I forgot to put the MG back on the grey Stug.
I still have some tweaking to do on it plus weather the tracks.
Notice the difference between the original and re-model version.

I think I have a couple of other's which I'll post soon.

Here is or used to be a FOV tan Panzer IV which I'm still working on.
It was pretty busted up when I got it.
All of the armor plates were knocked off and all of the accessories were missing.
I need to get better numbers and tweaking this just a little.

Thanks Joe.
I never thought about posting pics in an album.
Didn't know that was available.
I'll check yours out soon.
I post 99% of my builds on the BSP photo gallery & Photo Bucket maybe that's why I never paid any attention to this Forum's album section.
