French Airfield Part I (1 Viewer)

Good morning all. Here are the first pictures of my new French airfield / farmhouse / walls diorama. We kick off with the DVII's and a scene from summer 1918. Don't worry about minor details like MVR died in April of that year, just enjoy! I have to say, the German standing mechanic FW102 figure is very simple but brilliantly sculpted and painted - has to be my favourite figure this year! The airfield will be visited by Albatrosses later this week, followed by a step back in time to the pre-flight days of the Napoleanic era, then back to early WW1 skirmishes and finally a WW2 RAF scene....

Did you make the Dio base or is it a young Gordon (K&C) made one??? The brick work on the side are very Gordonish.:smile2: Oustanding set up by the way.

Howard - all my own work but shamelessly copied Gordon's bricks on the side which I've always liked! If I can aspire to half the diorama builder Gordon is, I'd be a very happy man......
