Just got my WW1 Cuirassiers today and I am very impressed. Extremely well done. Painting and especially the animation of the figures and horses make them the best horsemen I have in this price range. I congratulate Britains on their whole WW1 line. All the figures are great from painting to sculpting. The French infantry and cavalry are my favorites (need the famous 75mm gun, though) and the British and German are top notch also (really like the MG teams for both). Heres hoping Britains continues to add to the early war line as they do it so well. The French uniforms were archaic and (as it turned out) crazy but they were beautiful when in full charge. Hey, a French standard bearer wouldn't be out of line, would it? -- lancer

I agree with you Lancer. I saw these at the Milwaukee 4th annual Spring Collectors event I attended at the Toy Soldier Shoppe. Although I do not collect WWI, I was very impressed with the detail in these mounted figures. For the matter, I have been very impressed with all of the WB matte figures produced since 2007. WB and First Gear have been a great match-up and are producing top quality figures.

I saw them in the shop yesterday. I thought they looked great. I may add one, even though I am not doing WWI. The 2009 lineup is just fantastic.

Hey KV, JMO but if you are going to get the Cuirassiers, do not wait too long. They are pretty limited and are going fast. -- lancer
