Yet another great set from Thomas Gunn :)

They aren't what I collect, but I'm sure many collectors will snap them up when released next month.

Who knows what era are they from?

Early WW1 before they changed to drab unifoms?

John

Correct John your the man TGM informed there WW1,i didn't have a clue.

Nice figures, but I do not collect La Légion . Hope there is still some WW2 figures coming our way in February ??????

They could be fighting the Germans on the Western Front in 1914, becasue many colonial units came back to France at that time wearing thier only uniforms, including Zouarves in red pantaloons and blue vests!!!

Now that WOULD be colouful ???

John

The uniform puts the TG legionaires around 1900 and later. Paint their trousers red and you could use them for the Mexican expedition of 1863-1867. Although once in Mexico they rapidly changed their heavy blue coats for a more to the climate adapted short blue jacket . Some drawings also show legionairs during the Mexican campaign wearing sombreros.. TG think about producing a legionaire like the one I add to this message, this would be tremendous
