Due to popular demand and repeated requests, we have finally restocked the French Line Infantry! We decided to divide the restock into 2 releases as with the 8 new figure codes, there are 38 total different French Line infantry. Though we had initially wanted to retire these figures, many of our new customers never got a chance to order them due to our producing them in relatively small numbers and their selling out so quickly. So not only did we restock them at the request of our customers, but we also created 4 new variants of march attack as many customers wanted full march attack formations and didn't like having to repeat NAP0035 and NAP0038 over and over again. So now there are 6 march attack variants to help create a fully march attack formation with a much greater level of variety.

We tried hard to keep the pricing as close to the original pricing as when we produced them two years ago, but given our costs and current retail pricing of our figures, we had to add $5 to the price of each figure. This still makes them just about our cheapest figures and at $39.95 we hope you will agree that these figures are about as good as bargain as you can find in the toy soldier world. Further, the quality has been improved a bit over the initial release 2 years ago. We wanted the figures to match, and they do, but there is more subtle highlighting and shading, improved faces, etc...

If you never got a chance to pick these figures up or if you want to add to your ranks, we suggest you do so ASAP as nearly half of the restocked figures are already spoken for by collectors around the world. This is the final production run of these figures as they are being retired. They will be shipping to customers in mid-September 2010, in only a few short weeks. Next month, we'll pre-order the restock of codes NAP0045-NAP0060 plus four additional figure codes and then they too will be gone forever.

NAP0031 French Line Infantry Fusilier Advancing - $39.95
NAP0032 French Line Infantry Fusilier Advancing - $39.95
NAP0033 French Line Infantry Fusilier Advancing - $39.95
NAP0034 French Line Infantry Fusilier Advancing - $39.95
NAP0035 French Line Infantry Fusilier March Attack - $39.95

NAP0039 French Line Infantry Fusilier Advancing Campaign Trousers - $39.95
NAP0040 French Line Infantry Standard Bearer - $54.95
NAP0041 French Line Infantry Officer Advancing - $39.95

NAP0148 French Line Infantry Fusilier March Attack with Forage Cap - $39.95

As I can only post 10 images in a single post and having no desire to wait around through the sometimes lengthy post approval process, I'll just post a few of the figures in this 17 figure release. You can see the rest of them on our website if you are so inclined.

OMG... and the painting looks the same as the one on the tauride grenadiers and the prussians .. Please don't let Gebhard buy them all !

OK my next order will definitively be blue... all blue !

Cheers,

Alex

Certainly been waiting for these; my order for the first group is in.

In addition to the much needed re-issues, I very much appreciate the new additions that really add some nice diversity to the columns. The original of this release was my first large FL purchase but I waited too long before to fill it in and I eagarly await the next set. I will not make that mistake twice.

I don't collect the NAPS line but Matt and First legion have satisfied collector's requests for this product line.....and at a very fair price....Obviously Matt and FL communicates with their customers....can only result in happy NAPS fans and loyal customer base....Way to go First Legion:)

Totally agree with this. FL has gone the extra mile and created an even more extensive French Line at the same amazing price.

I got my first set of reinforcements today and I must say they are really better than the originals in subtle but important ways. Remember that the original French line was a very early (second I think) FL release and they have been improving with each release. These lads benefit from some of those changes such as a seemingly stronger metal blend, slightly better painting, even more crisp sculpting and even better packaging. As an added bonus, their slightly different look gives a bit more variety to the ranks but not so much difference as to be out of place. Anyway, I am thrilled to have these and look forward to the next batch. At these prices, they are quite a bargin.

I got mine also and I totally agree. The figures are awesome!

Hi Guys,
I just returned from a much needed Vacation and have not received mine yet , Matt was kind enough to hold off on shipping them until I returned . I'm really looking forward to my shipment arriving as it contains not only the new french figures but also the first Crusader release which look to be very nice . After now hearing that the restocks look even better then the first release from three fellow collectors ...I'm dying to do my own side by side comparison :D All the best Gebhard

Gebhard,

I'm sorry to say but Matt has just announced that there were no FLI figures available for you ... since we bought them all before you :))

just joking of course :))

Alex
Alex, you are very BAD mate.;):D

Funny thing is though that actually turned out to be the case for me for the FL British Guards. I waited a wee bit too long and missed the chance to get some more of the now retired NAP0096 standing firing figures.:( OK which one of you grab the last of those?:D Thank heavens the NAP0085s were still available. I am sad to see these retire but I have plenty (or will shortly) now and I am fine with a different set of redcoats for the future. They will also now have plenty of blue coated targets.:D

Welcome back Geb, I think you will be thrilled with your delivery.

Ah.. .me too I was not quick enough to get all the redcoats I wanted... Since the french were, are and will always be my favorite nap figures it was more important for me to buy as many french guys as I could before they were completely gone.. It took me weeks to 'build' my last order and I'm extremely satisfied with the figures I have received and the updated packaging. I will post pictures this weekend of my FL collection.. which is growing, growing !

Cheers,

Alex

Thanks Bill ,
Of that I have no doubt :) and about NAP096 I'm sorry about that Mate ;)

Hi Alex,
I must admit I was a little concerned , that's why I put in the pre-order before I left ;) I'm really looking forward to receiving the new poses and the new restocks . Nothing says Napoleonic's like the French Line and if they are even better then the first batch I'll be overjoyed :) All the best Gebhard

Is NAP096 out of stock - and will be replenished later... or retired??

I just managed to arrange some financing with my bankers for my year-end spree... :(

Please go easy on your recruitment... the war is not here yet

NAP0096 is retired and out of stock. The current release of the British Guards are all retired and stocks of some, like that one, are depeleted but most are still available in varying quantities. You can tell for each one by going to the site and trying to add them to your cart. It will tell you if they are out of stock.

Thanks, Bill.

With several of these Guards out-of-stock, I have decided not to recruit any of them. Most unfortunate. The battle is lost even before a single shot is fired.

That is a pity mate; they are really too good to pass up. The only ones out of stock with FL are

NAP0083 British Guard Grenadier Ensign Standard Bearer
NAP0090 British Guard Grenadier Captain
NAP0095 British Guard Grenadier Ensign Standard Bearer
NAP0096 British Guard Grenadier Standing Firing

That still leaves a healthy 14 plus the mounted colonel. I think George still has the NAP0083 Union Jack Standard Bearer and there is another standing firing figure. Besides, there are the other international FL dealers and you never can tell what you might pickup elsewhere. I have gotten quite a few that way.

Thanks for the suggestion, Bill.

Without the flagbearers, the whole exercise is a non-starter. I am in purchasing mode because a local dealer may bring in FL Naps to Singapore. It would be convenient and also allow viewing the products first hand.

It seems that buying bits and pieces from different dealers all over the world would drive up shipping costs to this part of the world.

Understood; you may consider picking up some fighting redcoats nonetheless for two reasons. First, they could join the sure to be released Rifles to make up a "Sharpe's Company"; second, they could also make up a combined British / Scots company with the Scots and third, they are the only English foot we are likely to see for a while.

It is a pity about the standards but they don't make as many of those and the officers since few people get duplicates, unlike the rank and file. Personally, I could live without them but am glad I did get my two.
