In this little set up I'm trying to portray the civilians made homeless refugees looking for shelter amongst the fighting in Hue, where a small percentage of the student population were VC sympathizers as well as others forced into fighting / working for them in some way or other. And so that here a girl see's a student friend of her elder sister being held as a prisoner who whether she knew or not keeps quiet as the prisoner watches her as they walk by.
