For WWII Collectors

Eighth Army. We are still expecting the surprise piece to be produced and I hope it will be released in June.

For D-Day in the works a Stuart Tank, Jeep ambulance, more ground troops, a couple of 101st Airborne as single figures in a very interesting poses, also a personality piece will be available. On the German side expect a new Panther Tank, looks terrific, also more ground troops, Motorcycle combination, Atlantic Wall pillbox with 4 German figures and some great personality figures. All of this is expected in June and July. A big change will be the introduction of more single figure and 2 figure sets.

For Iwo Jima fans we are expecting about 8 new releases of Japanese soldiers, this is timed to coincide with the new Clint Eastwood Movie, Flags of our Fathers scheduled for August.

For Fall of Berlin more Russians are expected towards the end of the year.

For Battle of the Bulge more Winter Germans are expected later in the year.

Fields of Battle more single piece figures including a French General, expected around and about July.

This may be nothing new although I hadn't heard of more Fall of Berlin. June and July look tough on the proverbial wallet.

The good news is that we know already how we are going to spend our money until the end of the year. One problem's gone:D .

Oh sure, like Andy is going to stop producing new sets in 2007. Hah, I don't think so...I think I know how I am going to spend my money for quite a few years. Michael

And when the money runs out i've still got a spare kidney!

I'd have thought there might have been enough Soviet releases last year but I bet these will be in winter gear.

I like the Winter Germans though and hopefully they will be in some action poses.

I'm not too sure about the DDay releases. The Panther is excellent and the Stuart will be good while the Pillbox sounds interesting but it's hard to tell at this stage. More US Airborne isn't too exciting (only in my opinion though) and I hope the German groundforces aren't SS.

What is the general opinion on the new one and two figure sets? I think it may be a good idea for people like me who like some poses but not others and also for those who like wounded figures.

In the past I've been put off buying certain sets because i haven't liked all the figures or I haven't liked the wounded ones in them or the prone ones.

However I guess if you buy complete ranges then you will be paying more than you would normally.

Somehow buying a four figure set seems better value than individual figures.

Spare? Mine's gone already. I'm thinking about spare lung sales. Michael

Thanks for the post Brad,

I'm especially interested in the Iwo Jima sets. Are all eight sets going to be Japanese solders? I hope some are going to be US Marines.

However, this is great news on future KC sets. Andy knows how to keeps coming back doesn't he? BTW, that's a compliment.
