As European settlers pushed west clearing trees, fencing land and building homes during the latter part of the 18th century the friction increased with the Native people who had occupied the area for centuries. From time to time violent incidents would occur with losses on both sides. Attacks were often very small raiding parties, but occasionally there were widespread attacks along the frontier. The worst possible scenario usually meant the death or capture of community members and the destruction of homes.
The first photo was set up using three of our Eastern Woodland warriors with our frontier ablaze backdrop and a grassy base. The second one uses a grassy base, forest litter, a farmstead backdrop to showcase our old growth Summer Oak tree, “A Clear Shot” Native Warrior in tree and our new 11 Inch tall maple trees within injection molded plastic branches. The new maple trees will be available in late summer.
