Frontline American Civil War? (2 Viewers)

I like 'em too - but would like them even better (to the point of buying some), IF they could supply them as castings to paint myself. They do some very nice bands, I see.:D johnnybach

Suggestion ... you can usually pick up Frontline stuff cheap, I used paint stripper on some WWII guys and repainted them. It gave them a ver different look. Alex

True enough - but my point is - it would be a completely unecessary step - if they would sell them as castings - for those of us whose hobby is painting! In the meantime - I'll just continue to buy castings from those who do. jb

Castings would be great but they would have to be half the cost atleast under $10 a foot...The I/R range is nice but at $17 per foot.
Frontline works out at $18 per foot with a nice paint job.....dont think i would have the hart to strip them down though!
Another attraction with Frontline for me over other brands is they are more in the 54mm scale.

Do any of my fellow ACW brothers here on the forum collect these figures? I notice the "subforum" for Frontline never has many posts so I thought I would ask here under the "General Matte." I do not have any of these figures but I am not sure what it is about them but they catch my eye a lot.

I run a shop in the UK and we have sold Frontline Figures for years. Considering the price compared to most other manufactures, the wide range of sets available in the ACW era which have a nice mix of poses and good quality painting I can recommend these figures to any one.

However.

If you are mixing with other ACW products from other manufactures you may have a scale problem and recently FL have discontinued most of the Confederate Cavalry which is a shame as they were great value for money and made a fantastic display due to the number and range of figures.
