In the model the tail is attached to the plane, but in the promo pics the soldier is holding it.

The model with the tail attached is correct. The promo photo with the soldier holding the tail is historically incorrect. -- lancer

Guess this illustrates very well that is always better to wait to see the actual model before making assumptions or criticising a piece.
