Christmas is here early for the Fub.I could not resist deploying my 1st batch of 1812 Russian Grenadiers and a few Musketeers. Big nasty storm tonite and I am going to hide out in my warroom and set up some more 1812 Russians from my collection. But these are all Blackcat, my own creations.Another 1,000 in the works including the artillery.

Wow! You did it all. Thought out what you wanted to make. Got figures and Arty sculpted and cast your figures. Then painted them all. Great job and planing. Stay hunkered down tonight. I saw your area on the weather channel. Good surfing at Cannon Beach. John

Fubar,

Your battle is amazing! Simply amazing! What a wonderful diorama!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

"Stop it. Just stop it." (Bob Newheart):(

Fubar, when you post such wonderful pictures of your world, you drive me crazy with jealous envy of your work. Now I am possessed with all kinds of other bad thoughts like keeping up with the Fubar, going to the West Coast and “borrowing” some of your soldiers etc. :p

What a great army you have made. Keep up the great work of posting pictures for us to enjoy.:)

Fubar,

You never cease to amaze me!! Your dioramas are wonderful. I always enjoy seeing them and even show them to family and friends who, although are not in the hobby, appreciate your work.

Keep posting!!

Being the newbe on the Forum you've already made me an admirer....The Lt.

How many hours are there in a 'Fub Day'?

I don't quite know how you manage to turn out those numbers in the little time you've had, but, seriously WOW! Veeeeerrrry impressive work Fubar.

Anyone driving past the UK on their road trip to FubArRrRRR's Grotto?

Simon

I have to say of all the dioramas posted on this and other forums no one beats FUBAR in capturing the size and feel of a large scale battle like he does!!! You can see he knows his history and tries to capture the battles of the eras he covers accurately and he seems to like all the eras and has a TON of figures for each era. I,m always amazed when seeing these and save all the photos he posts.

These russains are sculpted great and I can,t wait to get my hands on more of them. I ordered the artillary sets from him and they look incredible also. I hope he does well selling these so he can have some more sculpted. I also hope he stays with the napoleonics if he does.

Good luck harold!!!! I can,t wait to see the great redout you have planed!!!

WOW! Fubar, you kick some Royal butt with those figures. They look great. I can imagine hearing the marching, screams, cannon and small arms fire and a smoke filled battlefield. Looks Great!!!

Wunderbar Fubar ;)

I also like the terrain you have them on.

When you get time would you be able to show us the process of making up a realistic play and display area like that. I have seen some guys put down those grass mats etc and they look like an assortment of random objects on a table. However when you do it, it's clear you have the talent and experience to make it look realistic, what's the secret :)

Maybe we should start a separate 'how to do it' section on this forum for making up dioramas, painting, photography etc.

How about it Brad? :)

Oz,

I actually suggested that a couple of weeks ago to Shannon. It was more like an Ask So and So for advice but I think your idea is a good one. I will mention it to her on Monday, when we next speak.

FUBAR

You deserve all the acolade. Terrific.:) Thanks for sharing with us.

Dear Freinds, Thank you for all the kind remarks. Our power was out for a day due to the windstorm we had Thursday night. Trees down , fences needed repaired, frozen cats needed pried off bales of hay, all kinds of fun activities.
I need to clarify, I did not paint all the Russians.I painted perhaps 30.
All I did was design /sketch, make the silicone rubber molds , cast, clean assemble. My Elves did the painting.
I had the original " GREENS" Masters since last December but did not purchase the centrifuge and vulcanizer until April and it was probably July before I really had any confidence at mold making and spinning. It's not rocket science, but many little tricks to learn through trial and error.

It is a real pleasure to know my friends here on the forum appreciate my efforts. and I thank you again for all the kind words.

By the way, most of the groundwork is simply green feltcloth of various shades I like, some pinkfoam cut into shapes and flocked with various woodland scenics and blended together on the table until it suits me .
These scenes never stay up too long.I have no set piece dioramas.
Thanks again.
