Few years back they talked of an Arnhem release. Wonder if that's still on the table at some point? It would be nice to see some Arnhem items. Maybe
some new buildings also.

yes it would,it seems things are now delayed due to their move.

Mr. Conte has talked of a number of great ideas for ranges, either building on current or going for other stuff. Maybe the changes and move will allow him to build the lines he has wanted to pursue.

Y-E-S!!! Yes indeed. Conte buildings have always been a step above the rest. My hope is to see more of these in the future.

I am particularly interested in the medieval Highlanders (Braveheart), the Germanic Barbarians and a new line of figures based on the movie The Vikings (Kirk Douglas). All of these can be seen among other pictures of future Conte releases, illustrating Richard Conte's letter on the website. Does anyone has any idea if these are "real" plans or just something Conte announces then forgets completely about?

Thanks!

That's a million dollar question but one member emailed Conte about the Braveheart figure and Conte said that after the move is complete we will see some great products. If he puts out all that he says Conte will be back in a big way.

Your guess is as good as any of ours

Quite a few of us have grown beards waiting for the various plans of Mr Conte to come to fruition as solid figures in the shape of his great looking masters:(

So make yourself at home and join the loooooooong wait.

I know I will be relieved when I see the first new product released by Conte after this almost two year cocoon. The Las Vegas Office is now history. The North Carolina operation is being set up. The pipeline is backed up. I am very hopeful, though, that once new product starts flowing, a predictable schedule of releases might be able to be established. Colonial Adventurers....Zulu War...then a little later, Zouaves, then still later the stuff pictured on his latest annoucement. I would love to be able to count on something new being released every few months. (There also are a bunch of medieval figures sculpted plus the Foreign Legion figures recently revealed.)

The good news is that we see that Conte has not stopped the creative side of things during this cocoon season. Quite a lot of money has been invested in the creating of the masters we've seen pictured (Plus a number that you guys haven't seen yet!). I can't imagine that items that have cost so much to create would fail to find their way to market, unless there is a licensing issue as with the Zorro and Rooster Cogburn masters that were once shown or a production issue like with the original Pirate Ship. Unless the market for Toy Soldiers totally dries up, I would expect we will see all this stuff show up at a rate that gives the Collecting Community time to absorb each new release before the next release arrives. Wouldn't some predictablity with Conte be nice? I'm hopeful.

Mark, Reb and Joe.

Thank you for your answers! I am very anxious to get these new figures, the masters look amazing, and I am sure no other company could possibly make Highlanders like those from Braveheart. I believe I have seen this movie at least a dozen times and the battle reenactments are terrific and action-packed! I expect very bold poses on this particular range, and that's Conte's "forte".

I will be a very happy collector if these Highlanders and the Germanic Barbarians are available in the next couple of years. I mean, I'm 45, I can afford waiting a couple of years, right?
;)

Too bad there's zulu wars, african adventure, foreign legion and civil war before any of the stuff I crave for.
:(
BTW: One of these african adventurers looks a lot like Michael Douglas in The Ghost and The Darkness, a great movie if you ask me. Can anyone confirm it's him?

Thanks again!
