I was recently contacted by Luigi Toiati, owner of Garibaldi & Co. Toy Soldiers. Although he ceased production in 2007 he still has many figures in stock.

Hi Dave - heard of them - and seen some photos - very toylike. I belieeve Bruntons Barracks (USA) sell some. Their website says Garibaldi - Italian company (no surprises there then!) went out of business in 2004. Try looking there for some more - perhaps? jb

Yes the Last of the Mohicans set had 6 figures. It was modeled after the release of the Last of the Mohicans movie in the 90's. It was limited to only 150 sets. Hawkeye is in the famous pose as in the movie running with a rifle over his back.

There are currently two sets (without boxes?) of Garibaldi & Co toy soldiers for sale on eBay. The first is a six-man set of Black Watch Highlanders from the French & Indian War. The other is a Black Watch F&I War three-man colour party set. NB: It appears to me that the middle figure in the colour party set is not from Garibaldi.

Hello Administrator and Fans of Luigi Toiati:

I sent and email request to Luigi at the address given in the Administrators post last Friday, 28 August 2015. It was sent back as "Undeliverable". So he has either abandoned this email address or gone out of his primary business of consulting. Perhaps another reader of this knows of a correction or alternate address. Yes, I did check his address when it was returned.
