On TG's website it is stated that the gebirgsjäger takes aim at an allied soldier in the BoB. I cannot find any proof of gebirgsjäger participating in that battle . Can anybody confirm that the gebirgsjäger were on the scene in the BoB ???? The only info I have is that the 6th SS gebirgsjäger Div was a reserve for the 7th Armee on the Rhine . The Div was slated for participation in the BoB but did not assemble in Denmark before the 20th Dec. Instead the div took part in Operation "Nordwind" in the low Vosges mountains in France .It was attached to the 361 Volksgrenadier Div and went into action against the 45th US Inf Div .
Any information on gbeirgsjäger in the BoB is more than welcome .

Perhaps TG did n't mean his remark to be taken too literally. I certainly hope he eventually does Gebirgsjaeger to the same level as he has covered German paras. The mountain troops had some very interesting equiment such as light mountain guns that noone else has ever thought of doing. Airfix have just re-released their old 1/32 set of German mountain troops. Perhaps TG, like Airfix could bring us with supply mules?

I don't worry too much about manufacturers designation for where they place their releases. I agree that this would be an interesting range to be addressed in the comprehensive way the FJ's were. some of the favourite figures when I was a kid were the german ski and mountain troops.

The scandanavian theatre is a sorely overlooked campaign IMO

Factually, you guys are right about the Battle of the Bulge. If means alot to 100% accurate, then you really shouldn't display these new figures in your BOB diorama.

Weren't these guys fighting in Italy and in the winter? Sounds like another diorama opportunties to display these figures along with much of our BOB figures.

And while were at the comments, why not do the US 45th Infantry Division to fight them. Maybe I'm a bit partial though. {sm4}
