I managed to obtain some worth while display space just recently at about 28 by 10 inches and I decided to have a diorama of Napoleon as a still young general in July 1798 when he led an expedition with a French Army of about #25,000 soldiers into Egypt. The new diorama is on top of a bookcase. I placed a piece of felt as the intial "ground cover" & then placed a small amount of playbox sand to cover the figures' stands and the area between the figures, etc. I also put up a medium blue section of poster board paper as a backdrop. I have #10 figures spanning K&C sets NE003, 004, 006, 007, 008, 010, 014, 016 & 017, Plus sets NE009 "Monument", NE012 "Ruined Temple" with columns & a "Sphinx", K&C set AE046, from K&C's Ancient Egyptian series. These sets seem to make up a colorful diorama and represent an interesting period of history. As I recall I was first made aware of Napoleon's 1798 invasion of Egypt when I was in a world history class in high school. The famouis "Rossetta Stone" was discovered by chance by one of Napoleon's soldiers. See #5 photos attached below.
