The first film I saw him in was Bonnie and Clyde, one of my favourite movies. Bonnie and Clyde was no comedy movie but the scenes with Gene sure bought a smile to your face :salute::

he was entertaining...
loved the scene in Stir Crazy...
when Richard Pryor told him...
"we gotta get bad or else"...
before they were thrown in the cell with the other inmates...
Pryor kind of stole the scene...
but Wilder was hilarious too...
