Another piece that has not seen the light of day for a while. This Figarti e-boat I got many moons ago is just leaving a small French channel port on the hunt for stray merchant and other shipping. As it leaves it comes under attack from British RAF fighters and also commando saberters who have landed up the coast and made their way into the small French town.

Enjoy

Gary

Gary has wonderful toys! But I think Zach may be the reigning toy soldier king on the Forum.

This E boat would have been in my dock had I been collecting 1/30 back than, but unless it was 1/18 I was not interested. Nice to see it in a diorama setting Gary. Lucky you. Robin.

I guess you do not have the LTC landing craft, that's the one I would also like? Robin.

Gary,

Fantastic set!! Had seen the e-boat on catalogue when it was first publicized....Never thought it was sooooo nice and full of detials^&grin^&grin...
Have to say .... you have an amazing collection spanning more than on historical period.....you must have a huge storage area at your house.....{sm4}{sm4}
Cheers

Did the e-boat pull into port to get repairs on severe paint peeling?

Gary

Strange post? Boat has taken some damage being shipped around the UK and then to NZ - but paint peeling wasn't an issue.

The one he purchased did have that issue so he's still a bit miffed. I've had a couple of Figarti models with the problem. In one all the paint flaked off.

Great boat and great diorama :salute:: And nice to see great Del Prado figures {sm3}

Hi Gary,

Just a quick note I forgot to mention earlier....when you set up the flak gun on its gun pole, you have the barrel misplaced, its 45 degrees off from the center pivot, if you use the gunner´s hand as a reference...it is sticking in the air because in theory it should be holding the magazine....the magazine attached to the barrel can be found pointing to the ground....{sm3}{sm3}{sm3}...the long sticking bit under the barrel past the gun pole...
Cheers

Fantastic diorama! You have some skills putting these things together! That's for sure!
